I want to see how you can accomplish non-renewable food (or close to). The concept of Insomniac is also interesting...it leaves open a few choices for the player.
1. Stay in 1x2 dirt hole all night.
2. Bridge to other houses during the night.
3. Scavenge the grounds, however mob-infested.
4. Go into dungeons.
5. Circle the island and explore via boat or stay on shorelines. Also, I love AnotherMinecraftLP's Banner. Me gusta.
I would either do one, four, or five.
One and five because they don't take hunger.
Four because spawn rates would be lower.
CTM maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Black Desert, Legendary, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Lethamyr, Waking Up
Soon.™
What is that a pic of? Just wondering.
From my perspective, session based backups would be easier than wool-claiming based, since (at least for me) obtaining wool is a fairly slow process - I've played Lethamyr for several sessions, yet only have 1 wool. Either way though, I'd still be playing Fallen Kingdom on hardcore, just with backups in place of some type.
Hunger and food conservation should be interesting, though - although making it completely non renewable would be impossible due to zombies and spiders, unless you applied other restrictions (maybe some sort of "Healthy Eater" handicap, where you cannot eat anything that would be poisonous to you?).
I generally rarely die anyway, at least in vanilla minecraft. I'm unsure what to expect from Fallen Kingdom trap wise (I seem to remember you saying at some point you'd be keeping it somewhat light on traps, but I may be wrong), but hopefully I'll have little difficulty keeping myself going. It may be a smart idea for me to get used to taking damage on hard mode, though...
Hm, a general question to everyone - how do you play these maps, control wise? Do you have some sort of fancy mouse or have your keyboard set up to take advantage of hotkeys, or do you just use the scroll wheel on your mouse to select tools on your hotbar?
I personally just use the scroll wheel, but I also have my controls set up focused around the arrow keys for movement (right control is jump, right shift is sneak, etc), so I can't really use number hotkeys due to that, either.
I like the concept of Hardcore but i rarely ever play things in it (Cue me using NBT edit to turn hardcore off). In fact i normally play in a hardcore like mindset and in most of the super hostile maps I have beat I can count the number of times i have died on my fingers. However about 80% of the times I do die its due to stupid mistakes like opening my inventory while I am crouching over lava.
I think i will see if one of my more code savy friends can figure out a way to write a script to make a backup every 2 hours or so.
Most of the worlds problems are due to stupidity or ignorance.
I have my Logitech g700 gaming mouse. I have set up marcos to switch to torch and place one super fast and then switch back to pick/sword. Another marco to switch to sword and then double tap foward and hit really fast (to send a suprise mob flying). I have my fourth key set to open my invetory.
Mostly i use the mouse for the DPI change which is useful when sniping mobs from afar or exploring or building or fighting.
As for my fancy keyboard? I dont really use the marcos at all, i just enjoy the feel of a mechanical keyboard.

Or there's that one with the boat being lifted by a step on a piston, opening inventory reveals a step, that changes the shape of the step on the piston, letting the switch trigger... That can be anywhere that's loaded, all he'd need to do is let you open a chest, and there's a step in it.
Cobwebs. Cobwebs everywhere.
I'm still placing my bets on NOCHYS. :3
Completely off topic, but I just have to mention.
That's a sexy signature banner you have there.

Btw I was playing Nightmare Realm for a very long time and this map was a great break from all the dying and frustration that Nightmare Realm gave me, so... going back to NR now, wish me luck, I'm half-way done with it.
0 deaths in Unconquerable, I'll give you 7 medals
Hello? Anyone gonna answer?
I don't consider that as an accomplishment or something like that, I didn't die in The Infernal Sky 2 two and I guess many other people didn't too.
I have died in Nightmare Realm more times than in all the SH maps I've player all together
Get used to it. I'm still waiting for replies on several of my previous posts.
That being said, no one really knows what this is a picture of, except for Vechs, and clearly he doesn't feel like telling us.
Who knows, maybe ghasts and cobwebs will be like Sodium and Chlorine, and they cancel eachothers effects out?

Oh wow.... lol Well thanks for answering to me I guess... and what are the Inferno Mines? Someone said Inferno Mines in the page before this I think and I want to know what they are.
