Well I don't really care about deaths since most of them are really derp deaths, I still have an insane amount of supplies, and I'm sure I'll get even more because I just love my loot :3.
Yeah, the supplies and loot in Inferno Mines is ridiculous.

Why doesn't Vaks use more custom names? I was really hoping for cool named items, but he really didn't do a lot of custom colors - basically just anvil-renamed stuff with standard purple lore. Mobs don't really have names either.
Small thing, but it's disappointing.
He's rambled a little about this when he was in the starting area of UT2. Said that he's already got schematics and going through all of them would just be a bit of a pain, but that he would do it eventually.
I, for one, like the sign/sand-or-glowstone/box combo. Feels like when you find the gilded chests as compared to the normal chests in LoZ and the like. The difference between "Meh, random loot... >.>;" and "Ooo, I found something... *_*". Kinda the same reason behind the fleecy boxes, I gather.
Vechs, do custom names for your Fleecy Box wools!
That way the player knows exactly which wools are valid for the VM and there's no confusion between player-crafted wool and dungeon wool. (and it would look cooler too in the inventory)

Ladder Parkour in CTM isn't so bad. Just bring a LOT of blocks.
So I've been playing Inferno Mines 3.1 half off-camera to catch up with my series and keep on playing the map on 3.1 instead of Beta. I'd like to share my progress and thoughts so far, regarding beta x release:
Progress: All Skylights and Intersection 01 areas conquered and cleared.
Derps: 6 (surprisingly low, I'd say. I mean, for myself )
I like the way the Skylights are balanced now. Before, there wasn't really a lot of effect into what skylight you chose, all of them had decent loot. This time I've actually had to come back for the food and the gear, for instance. Thank you for the new ammount of wood at the tree farm btw. It's great not having to worry about setting up a tree farm too soon, because clearing room in the base with a wooden pick was really boring. :3
Speaking of the base: FLOWER POTS. So adorable.
The Lower Mines are so different now! I love the idea of blowing the spawner nests with minecarts! It was really satisfying and it gave an meaning to all those TNT carts lying around. I feel the awesome chests of delicious lootness might be a little OP, though. Their loot is a bit too precious for how often they spawn. But AMG that stone pickaxe. Pure love.
The Outer Darkness is also very different and I adore the way it looks now. The fences and vines, and the cobwebs close to the spawners, it all really added a lot to the caves' visual. I love the ambient light at more frequent spots, too; added to the vines and fences, that created such a good atmosphere in there! I was just this little heartbroken that there's only one spider spawner up there, now. Oh oh! That cave/tunnel thing that leads up to the fleece box. I really liked that. Way better than having to tunnel up or risk falling down while bridging towards the wool. :3
Overall, I think the changes made to Outer Darkness and Lower mines were brilliant. They added both visual and content to the areas. I didn't notice any difference on the Everforge, did anything change there?
Also, gotta love Rock's lost XP. I'm using the hell out of it and combining and enchanting stuff - the difference is that now I'm actually using my good gear, instead of being scared of losing it and keeping in the chests instead. It's been working nicely!
Now I'll try to tackle Mellow Cavern (and possibly the Lost Caves?) quickly and I'll be ready to continue on with the series. I'm just really not looking forward to build the rail lines from IS1 to IS2 again...
Also, why the hell does Thorns affect ranged attacks!? That doesn't make sense at all! o.o
And has it always been that way? I was so sure Thorns was a melee only enchantment...
Did you look at the
Hai sign with all those Rosian Battlegears? It recognizes you so you don't have to go through the trouble of ender pearling in there

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
Man, i thought i had found water in Inferno Mines. In the Lush Ruins area, there is a castle guarded by the Thorn Guard. Beneath that castle is a fleecy box with a battlesign, once i picked it up i heard the sound of running water, digged towards it(past the fleecy box), but when i removed the block that was covering the water i guess it got updated and all the water disappeared. i'm not sure if this was an intentional troll or not.
Thorn-armored enemies are just unfair.
How do thorns on an enemy's armor calculate the arrow's exact trajectory and instantly shoot back straight at your face?
Also, I decided to take a break from IM, relax, and play Hypixel's new adventure map.
Guess what? There's invisible cave spiders there too ;_;
It doesn't shoot the arrow back. Arrows store data about who shot them - I think you could technically make a spawner that makes "player was shot by Notch"

I've just got to Intersection 3 and Victory Monument (with 8/9 wool I think, but no iron/gold/diamond blocks).
Flame warp reminds me of Kaizo Caverns, but Kaizo had no invisible creepers running at your face.
Btw. Repeating my question, where is now silverfish trap (it was in Mellow Cavern, but I found spawner instead).
There's no water in the map until The Eternal Battle, or the black wool. The farm at the VM contains water, but it's encased in bedrock and is intentional for the player to not have water until the end.
Furries are cool.

^This is why I'm a proud supporter of randomized chests.
SH maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Waking Up and counting....
Final? FINAL?! Why would you wish the awesome to end? Whhyyyyyy? ;_;

On another note, I love getting stupid with the Victory Monument now. Shame I'll have to scale it down when I get around to Inferno Mines.
because ladders are more powerful than spiders.
It just tempts you to attempt the parkour, no matter how far down you'll splat on the ground.

P.S. Working on a Vechs Boss Battle now.
Remind me why the Minecraft community cannot comprehend anything more complicated than clicking a button.
Which variety? Cave or Normal? Bring potatoes next time.

learn to use spoilers pleaseeee
theres still some balancing that needs to be done, (actually quite a bit) but it is a lot of fun

False, there's one bucket in Lush Ruins.
