Oh... Crap... I was so close! I only needed black and Light Gray wool, and I know where the Light Gray one is!!! And possibly black, but not sure... But then I got killed by a creeper... :sad.gif: And my mods make creepers explode in fire... And now the forest is burning... :sad.gif: It just crashed my Minecraft...

And that is exactly the reason I put in the disclaimer about designing around vanilla Minecraft, and that it's not my fault if mods break your game. :tongue.gif:
Seriously though, incendiary creepers is quite funny.
If only I could spawn them somehow...
Oh!
You know what I really want? I mean, in addition to Spider Jockey spawners... I want electrified creeper spawners. I've never seen one in-game yet, but I'm sure the player would have lots of fun with them!

Someone's trying to find the code for a Spider Jockey spawner; their logic is that if ONLY Skeletons can spawn on Spiders and not Zombies or Pigmen or Creepers, then there must be a code thing that allows you to get Spider Jockey spawners.
Also, no, I'm not going to tell you if they are successful; Spider Jockeys are insanely hard to kill.
Oh no. O.o I would die. Haha! Double explosive radius...? No thanks!
Hey! It makes it fun!! And didn't break it. Just temporarily crashed it. :tongue.gif: I just need to go put out the fires really quickly. :S It's making my game SOOOO slow. Haha!
But anyway, Canopy Carnage is the best map ever. :biggrin.gif: Super props for making it!!
I love these maps, perfect mix of free play and adventure genres. Can't wait to see what you can do with the pistons when 1.7 comes out. Just thinking about it is scary :ohmy.gif: lol
oh, btw, here's music for "The Infernal Sky" if anyone wants it. I hope it's fitting enough
I've started a side project playthrough of The Infernal Sky with MyselfOverwhelmed. Here's part one from my perspective:
Hells yes, I highly suggest playing Vech's super hostile number 07 when it comes out. Hopfully he finishes it before pistons are completed...

I like to think that whenever you beat an AI in any videogame, it gets sent to whatever equivalent of Hell computers have. I can only presume that this would be Aperture Laboratories from Portal. May GLaDOS have mercy on them.

Check my unfinished map out for where the black wool is in canopy carnage.
Could anyone please give me tips on where to find the magenta wool in sea of flames? it would be much appreciated <3
EDIT: just magenta wool, i found red wool shortly after posting :smile.gif:
I created a profile on here just to tell Vechs that I'm a huge fan of your work. I downloaded the maps on Thursday and have been working my way through the Sea of Flame and Infernal Sky ever since. I have all of the wool on SoF except for Lime and Red. I am hoping neither of them were located near the creeper statue I blew up that took the glass tunnel through lava with it, but I'm going to keep looking.
I also want to say that your work is much appreciated! I had stopped playing MC for a couple months as I felt I couldn't think of much to do, and these maps have me playing more than ever. I stumbled upon these creations through the Terraria forum. Thanks for helping me find ways to procrastinate :biggrin.gif:

Edit: #07 is looking incredible!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoy the maps. I'm working hard on number 7, and I think you guys are going to hate it, die a lot in it, love it, have lot's of fun with it.
Upon looking at the new screenshot Vechs posted...
Trees built using fence posts instead of wood? Interesting, makes us have to look harder for supplies, although I think I see a single log block up above the fence posts - it'd have to be there anyway, otherwise the leaf blocks would just decay. At least fence posts means no hiding tnt traps underneath, although something could be rigged to collapse...
Rather curious about what may be inside of the small cave looking thing up above the waterfall (probably a trap). Hell, the entire pool of water is probably a trap >_>
Somehow I doubt giving us ready access to cactus and sand will make things easier, although they could be used for defensive purposes. Wondering if the sand itself is rigged to fall or not. Or maybe some sort of pressure plate trap underneath each cactus...
Just caught sight of a bit of clay located near the pool of water. That's more than a little suspicious... actually, it seems to be lining part of the pool of water. Can't really do anything with it until we get a furnace and fuel, though.
Overall, it's a really nice view, but knowing this is going to be a new Super Hostile map, I know it's all going to be trapped to all hell. Or maybe I'm just paranoid.
Suppose I should practice a bit for combat on hard mode - no way in hell I'm going on any other difficulty than that for this map, and considering how panicky I got when I was playing Kaizo Caverns, I probably need it. Gonna have to remove the mods I've been using on my main world as well... bit of a shame, but the weapons mod I have installed alone would make things considerably easier. Keeping the Zelda sound pack, though.

Hurrah zisteau, you are my fav commentator on youtube. :biggrin.gif:
Too bad I don't have a youtube account so I can't sub or like. :sad.gif:
I thought of some cool ideas for #8.
-A giant ravine kind of thing?
-A mountain or mountain range?
-A volcano?
