Well, i believe i have succeeded. Me laptop runs canopy carnage on full everything :biggrin.gif: Asus K52JR. Thats the model, 2.4GHZ dual core hyperthreaded at 4 (dont really know what that means) , 1GB Radeon Mobility HD5470, 4GB RAM, and Windows 7 64-Bit.
Really loving canopy carnage I've also made a rail way system.
Pro-tip for beginners if you drop down into the water and run to the temple. or as I call it "Bobs house" go to the left most exhibitionist's house and search the chests for gold armor put on the armor take it off after a second and put it in a safe place this will allow you to become INDESTRUCTIBLE. But be WARNED that the armor also has a CURSE that can cause you to DIE after loading up you'r save. to break CURSE make sure you don't have the armor on and swiftly eat a porkchop/bread/stew what have you and the CURSE will temporarily broken. also the tools are INDESTRUCTIBLE!!!
vechs in Canopy Carnage do u have to find all the blocks? i mean i found a redstone/gold tree but there was no gold block in it :/ so ... do i have to make the gold block or is it some place elss ?
Okay, you are allowed to craft the block. But, there is also an actual gold block. No hints. Just take the gold, smelt it, make yourself a gold block. Or get hunting.
i was playing black desert. I gathered all my stuff from the chests, then i stood on top of the spawn area and looked around for the closest light. I found a nice oasis of light, with a cake... A CAKE! I thought. That would only meas good things!!! I was wrong. When I got there, a zombie turned up out of nowhere and chased me around. once he met his maker, the cake was all gone, but wats this?? a pressure plate with TNT? better watch out for that. then TWANG! i was shot in the back, the arrow shot me right into the plate, i yelled, then i realized what happened. i fell fifty blocks into an underground cavern. and i have one thing to say to you vechs.... I LOVE YOU.
These codes are actually former functions that were available before the forum changed. It would lead to a youtube video. If you want to use them, you just a have to copy them after the "watch?v=" part in the url of a youtube video. Hope this helps.
Ah yes, the forum switch broke so many things in my posts, and I've been slowly fixing them. I'll fix everything, eventually. But you know, I wake up and think "What should I do today? Fiddle with post formatting, or work on maps?" I'm sure you can guess which choice wins.
It's the tears of those who have played before you.
... so no, it doesn't.
Lots of tears man, lots of tears.
(It was originally forest fire protection, I forced a 999999999 duration rain to prevent a thunderstorm from forming until the player could sleep in a bed. Then, if a thunderstorm came, the player could just use the bed to instantly stop it, so theoretically the player could always prevent any lightning strikes. But then Notch changed how fire spreads so... yeah.)
vechs, are you still active in the terraria forums? i insulted your map there, you should read it :tongue.gif:
also the rain fits. and can you be really sure that the fire stops at some point? not having world-devastating infernos anymore is frustrating :sad.gif:
aah, the times when people modded the game to make air, dirt and stone flammable and burned everything from sky to bedrock…
Okay, I've been playing these maps for a couple days, and had to make an account on these forums just to tell you how awesome they are, and ask a quick question.
Okay, I was wondering since I didn't really see any rules or anything anywhere...
Regarding the Black Desert. (or is it dessert? crap.)
How do you, as the creator of these maps, feel about using a stack of sand to climb up to the obsidian ceiling and traveling around that way. I mean, it's completely within the boundaries of the game, with no mods, but I felt it was kind of cheap (although to be honest, my frequency of dying hasn't decreased since I found that damned tree anyway.)
That's that. But seriously, your maps just re-addicted me to Minecraft. You are pretty awesome.
*sigh* First, yes. The block is in there. Guarded. But, it is not necessary to ask these. On these maps, unless you take a risk, it gets boring. Either jump in and get it or just take the iron ore from the trees and smelt it. Either way, you get an iron block. Or death.

My maps always have the same rules, typically:
1) Survive any way you can.
2) Never use Peaceful. Always use at least Easy (Normal or Hard preferred)
3) Don't use sheeps / dye. Finding the wool chests is the whole point.
4) That's it!
So, break blocks, make pathways, tear the map to pieces, make shortcuts, do whatever you can think of.
Although, nothing is stopping you from voluntarily not going up there, just to give yourself more challenge... but you can't run away forever. To complete the monument, you'll have to come down from there at some point. :smile.gif:

Not that active at the moment, I check the dev blog / patch notes and that's pretty much it. Most of my free time goes to working on the 7th SH map (going to be a complete monster btw), and occasionally playing TF2 and Mount and Blade: Warband. I saw your post, and I probably shouldn't have called it a Super Hostile map, it's more a Dungeon Assault type map - it plays differently than a survival map.
Is the Infernal Sky supposed to have two chests with blue wool? Anyways, amazing maps! Haven't been able to play minecraft for more than half an hour straight for quite a while now due to it being boring... and I've now spent nigh 6 hours straight on your maps :smile.gif:
I think that you should consider making a youtube channel and post tutorials on how you're making your maps, secrets on your maps maybe some walkthroughs on you playing them etc.
I would defenitly subscribe to you and I know a lot of people who would two, pls respond to this.
/Carl
Might do that eventually. MCedit is already a pretty heft program to run, not sure if I could reliably run video capture software and the editing program at the same time.
Black Desert... So many mobs everywhere. I've begun the daunting task of lighting up the entire desert with torches.
Haven't even touched anything under the desert yet. That big castle wall off in the distance down there both scares and intrigues me. I may have to go on a suicide exploration down there in a minute.
I will conquer this map. Got the yellow wool and found the victory monument.

No. But, there are some rain less spots. The most common spot for no rain, next to a creeper under an Aurum Birch.
