Welcome to this thread about my currently mega scale project, Super Mario 64, Peach's Castle.
I've come quite far on my road to finishing it, but due to the scale, and the sheer amount of materials needed, it's taking some time.
Please do leave a comment if you see something good, or something you feel that i should change
Very impressive. What would be cool is if you had a passage way behind the paintings like a secret door or something that lead down a very long passage way that actually brought you to that world. It would take massive amounts of time and effort, but it would be a brilliant idea. So far it looks really good.
Very nice! I suggest you light up the entrance hall more. It was ridiculously bright in the original game, especially when you could unlock flying mario.
how are you gonna fit the other upper floors though? expecially the floor with the clock level in it?
That's already mocked up in cobblestone. However, the only thing i had to cheat a bit with to fit inside was the "endless" stairs.
The room with the 3 goomba pics and the mirror room also isn't finished.

That's really nice, but the left side of the lobby, the area going up to the Bob-Omb room is a bit higher than the one going up to the Roger Bay-room iirc. Or was it the other way around?...
I noticed that, but i didn't classify them as being a block taller. And since you can't place a block directly on top of a half block, it just had to be that way.
Very nice video. Although minor inaccuracies, it's Whomp's Fortress, not Goomba Tower, Dire, Dire Docks, not Submarine World, and Cool, Cool Mountain, not Snow Mountain.
Also, in my next update I'll include an alternate halfblock texture so those stairs look a little nicer.

Can't wait to try out the map!
Put portals behind the paintings in the castle, and then build the corresponding levels in the area of the nether surrounding the connecting portal.
If you do this I will give you a cookie.
Glad to see that you're still working on it. Keep it up!

Complex Drowning Trap

I would suggest maybe putting hidden doors behind the paintings, do you can actually jump into them.
I'll update when i get the chance.
Thanks for the comments, and i have placed doors behind some of the paintings. But i prolly wont create each world :tongue.gif:
Bloody youtube tag not working, so link in the OP and

I believe it's Whomp's Fortress.
