Loving it. I used all the gold to make 4 stacks of Gold blocks and the rest that I couldn't turn into Blocks I made tools out of. My mine is alright but I dont want to demolish the ship to make ladders to go up and down xD
In one of the caves, I noticed a floating block of water. If you place a torch under the water, for example, the water will recalculate its course and flood the cave.
EDIT: I also saw some floating sand. You might seriously want to consider taking Minecraft physics school.

Your deleted worlds go straight to Notch where he can lulz at your failing attempt to play Minecraft.

Floating sand/gravel actually is quite natural in the games terrain generation. It's just when you destroy a block touching it or something similar the whole thing will collapse.
Actually, come to think of it, I remember a time when I was digging through sand and the whole thing colapsed on me. That's floating sand for ya.

Made the portal using lava found in the cave with diamond on the seabed. Using a mold made of gravel to place the lava.
then proceeded to get some stone by quickly making a tunnel of gavel into a cave right under the ship.
Almost dying from the monster spawner.
Lastly using a Stone pick I made from the resources I got from the cave I found before, I disassembled one of the canons to obtain the iron necessary to make .
And the end-result... A beautiful Portal right on the deck of my ship.
Pouring the lava into a mold, why didn't I think of that? That's a great idea, I'll have to try it on my little island (I don't want to risk burning the ship down, which would happen with my luck lately)
I started with an island about 8x4 and used the torch trick to reclaim my gravel from the middle. I continued this to remove the water from my island and expanded it to 20x20. It took a while for my dirt staircase to carry grass down from the boat. I had grass in about a 6x6 area on the boat, but never got an animal until I had about 3x3 grass on the sea floor.
I'm missing 3 and 4 I think. I even went so far as to MCEdit all of the stone, sand, clay, water, and gravel into glass so I could have sunlight and explore quickly. Maybe you could post the coords of the secrets? I'm moving on to the Four Towers map now.
Here's a guide to the secrets. I don't have coordinates and I can't remember which one belongs to which number off the top of my head.
Also, there's a behind-the-scenes making-of post on my blog (view my profile) if you're curious as to how I designed the map.
I view the six secrets as being hidden among five different locations:
The secret ballast chamber at the bottom of the ship.
The top of the lava tube. The light from the lava is visible from the surface at night. It's off to the fore and port of the ship. The diamonds in the lava tube run all the way to near the bottom of the map and there's maybe a stack and a half to two stacks in total.
The Mushroom Cave. If you found a relatively small cave entirely covered in mushrooms, then you've found on of the secrets. The top of this cave can be found be beneath the clay layer that covers the center of the map.
Benson's Folly. This is a buried structure made of sandstone with mossy cobble floors. The spire on top can be spotted on the ocean floor. It's the smallest target of all the secrets.
The Monster Cave. The first of two secrets is the top, which is just below the clay layer in the center of the map. If you dig down below the ship you're very likely to be dumped into some portion of the monster cave, so you should be able to back-track up to the top to find the sign. The second of two secrets is an inactive nether gate located at maximum depth at the bottom of the cave. Between the two are about eight spawners. There is a major branch of the cave in which I didn't extend the spawners, so if it's easy going you're probably on the wrong track.
Sorry for the link guys, i couldnt seeem to upload all the pics, but please check it out and tell me what you think! I spend about 2 hours going through lava and trying to get this all!!
The challenge as written would require fill-in. It's quite a bit of work, given an average ocean depth of more than 20 blocks. We're talking about placing approximately 95 stacks of blocks. Not impossible, especially if you cofferdam with gravel and reuse as you expand the footprint.
That said, do what you like. If you want to stick to the scoring as written, do so. If not, I don't care how you play so long as you enjoy it.

he already said mcedit didnt fill some things.

And I'll go ahead and say this rather obviously has spoilers.
Episode 3, "Learning From Mistakes (or not)" is out:
Multiple Minecraft LPs featuring ever growing boats, Pumpkin Buddy, Biospheres, Dungeon raids and a whole lot of deaths!

Ahh, I'll have to do some more digging/exploring then. Thanks :biggrin.gif:
