1.8 MCPyramid update is out! Fixed traps (including some changes to existing traps), texture fixes, and trap delays which will give you a slight time to escape an activated trap before it kills you (that is, if you realize you set one off quick enough).

Hey look buddy, I'm a builder. That means I build custom maps. Not maps like "Escapecraft 3", because that would fall within the purview of your idea of most puzzle maps. I build adventure maps. For instance, how am I going to allow some big old forum user to enjoy adventure to the fullest? The answer? Use a pyramid. And if that don't work, use more pyramid. Like this big, old, dusty pyramid designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope... being played by you.
Wow I love this map! Too bad I suck at fighting and STILL haven't made it to the end X.X
BTW you said no rules, right? So its ok if I go to the far lands for supplies?(Where the desert is cut off) :3
And where is the download for the 1.8 texture pack? Or is there not one? >.< Because I would kind of LOVE not to get invisible beef while using that texture pack :/
(Since this is my first post I will now spend 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post this...)

I enjoy long walks on the beach, digging holes, and fighting creepers.

The texture pack should be in the downloaded .zip or .rar.

I last played this map in June and I absolutely loved it. Have there been any considerable changes to the map since then? Some piston traps maybe? If so, I'm thinking of playing it again with my friends. And we eagerly look forward to playing MCPyramid 2. Already saw the video, the awesomeness is emitting from everywhere! :biggrin.gif:
The map is basically the same now as it was in June, but some traps have been changed to act differently and things like that. There are no piston traps in MCPyramid. Those are for MCPyramid 2

Something is wrong with the download. I download the zip, unzip it, and place it in my saves folder. I use this procedure for other maps without incident. Any help? Do I need to unzip it in my saves folder?
Day one: I write this from my rather spacious hole, having collected wood, planted crops, and made a small-ish house. I hear zombies and spiders. If it is this bad outside I fear the pyramid... I will wait a few days to venture in. OH HOLY- I looked at a pack of 5 endermen and three attacked, cutting a hole in the roof in which zombies came. I barely survived.
OH CRA- I opened a hole to see what time it was, and was greeted by a yellow fellow complementing my house and selling insurance. I dislike insurance salesmen, so I closed the door.
Day two: I ventured out to fight these beasts and returned with the spoils of gunpowder and fertilizer. I grew some wheat and ground into much-needed bread. I have dug out the front of the pyramid and I venture in.
Day three: I ventured out at night for skeletons and zombies to get food, and it was successful. I was in my little garden chopping down a tree, and, as the sun rose, creeper-bam, creeper-bam, creeper-bam, that was devastating to my grassy garden, that dirt is precious. I'm starting to wonder if making a home inside the entrance to the pyramid is a bad idea. I am so ravaged by creepers I have started to dig toward the pyramid, a semi-underground tunnel confounded by a tomb branch underground. The way to fight, is to not fight.
Day four: I continued my tunneling and put a roof over my garden for protection, and at nightfall i went out to kill spiders for string. in the middle of a fight with 2 spiders and a creeper... my club broke. I escaped easily, as a matter of fact, and got good spoils.
Days five to seven: I have been hiding here, crippled by a suprise creeper that destroyed one box (luckily nothing irretrievable was lost) killing spiders for string, nearly dying, and being very hungry. I have finally made a bed though, and the tunnel in proceeding nicely! this pace of action would be such a boring LP, but I have not died yet!
Day thirteen: unrealistically, I have been exploring the pyramid with a moving sand-shield. one of the crops grew, however. I am still not not starving.
Day fourteen: I continue inching through the pyramid. I have zombie-flesh but am holding off on it. At least, I think it's day fourteen. hard to tell in this pyramid.
Day sixteen: I believe day fifteen was also day fourteen. I am in a large room, and am running out of sand to expand my "shell". call me a wimp, but I'm going hardcore and am almost dead.
SNEAKY! In that one room I thought, "oh he must have pushed the trap back or wrong room" so I dug down a block in trepidataion- nope, all good, continued to dig OH FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
well, 17 days without death. on MCpyramid, In my noobish mind, that's okay.

I realize you have life to, and I am not trying to pressure you, I'm just curious.
