And now my thoughts and other things I found amusing whilst playing through this short-lived, yet entirely awesome demo.
Oh the glorious secret #1, so unexpected.
I nearly died trying to find this one, and I didn't even try. I just wanted some sand.
The signs really don't lie here, it's a vast cave, complete with secret underwater entrance! (Though it's hard to find.)
If you can't find this one, you skipped the tutorial house.
Either that or something is horribly wrong with you.......
I'm not sure which is funnier, the fact that it's simply called "the dock" or the fact that 3 boats can be crammed into a box half the size of a one. (I forgot to take a picture of the sign saying "Welcome to the land!")
If one chooses to skip the ocean boat ride in exchange for a relaxing evening stroll on the beach, you might come across this nice little easter egg.
And if one continues, they'll find that a patch of land has a sequel.
This creeper REALLY wants some bread.
I don't think this zombie much cares for bread, so I beat it to death with a garden hoe.
I wasn't planning on it.
Very peculiar indeed. (YOGSCAST!)
Conspicuous.
Ah, that explains it!
YEAAAAHHH! (I took photos of secret 4 but apparently, they keystroke didn't register. Either that or I was hitting F2 F1.... If you don't believe me I have proof in this simple keyword. Bridge-glow.)
I guess the hermit's house can wait.
Oh, look, it's Martin Creeper's swimming pool.
And there's martin.
I'll let him be.
Yes, Yes it is.
The entire map, inside 2 boxes.
The sign says everything.
Oh, yay! MOJANG!
The demo's over......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Hm, I wonder if there are any more easter eggs in those small imperfections.
Yep.
and Yep.
There's something wrong with this sign. (The picture didn't register again, but I renamed the inn the skeletal arms, as that is how it is called within the yogscast videos.)
One single sign made all of those which are pictured in the background.
That demo was incredibly well made and fun to play through. I hope to see more progress in the weeks to come.
(And more variances as to how you find the secrets, they were very well hidden, except all but #4 can be found by digging.)
Im blanking, where was #5 again? Also, that is an infi-sign (its called INVedit), and that was not secret 6. If you want a hint remove and dig down the old mans couch.
I loved playing this so much I just had to add my two cents about it. My only real tip that I can think of is to make the story linear. Having it have splits just won't work well, and based off how many hidden items there are, it seems as though de-linear plots / directions could arise. Having the story linear but having the hidden items simply make you better prepared (diamond armor) seems like it would work the best.

Number 5 was right below the photo above it

Not so much a hint as blatantly telling me where it is but Okay!
Thanks for all the feedback! Sorry if i ruined the fun of finding it, I will make sure to give more general hints in the future. I am making another version, and will release it only to testers who apply on my website, so if you want to see my progress, just apply there!

I never got your pm...
Oh, and can we still test on this site? As it's easier?
oh sorry, i havent pm'd anyone yet. I will put out a version for the testers in about a week, and fix anything needed, and release it!
You do not need to use the site, it is just an easier way for me to keep track of everything. No need, just so I can see who all the testers are. I will make a list later, so if you do not sign up, no problem. But you hsould know all announcements and everything go there first.
Thanks for all the support everyone, this has been ALOT bigger then I ever imagined.

OH! Okay. Can you check your site? I put up an application and all that. :wink.gif:
wow where to start, i would reccomend a tournament choosing a difficult level, you earn more money the higher the difficulty, you may start war with villages and their allies, you should be able to start your own village and pay for the expenses, perhaps be able to get a job.
Just a random idea, one thing that I think would be really cool is at a certain point in the game you can make a decision to take path A or B, then you make a seperate save that takes you to a location down the path for A or B, in this location you could say you wake up in a cabin with no recollection of what happened or you wake up in a jail cell or something. Might be kind of cool.
Continue on the path until you see a lone sand protrusion topped with a torch.
One block away from said torch (to the right.) dig into the hillside.
continue down your newly dug path until cobblestone greets you on the floor.
again, it just needs to be a straight path from that block.
If you don't see it, try to find the iron ore in the ceiling.
Or floor, if you accidentally dug one path too high.
upon breaking the cobblestone, you should be greeted by a pit of angry zombies.
Dispatch of them, disable the spawner, and enjoy your loot.
You can use the items any way want, so have fun!
