I-I...
I've been looking for "labirynths/scape" maps for days already, and now I have one.
Have an internet kind sir. I'd reward you in the actual internet currency (tits),but this is not the place to do so.

GLaDOS Thomas: I've been really busy being dead. You know, after you MURDERED ME.
Thanks guys. Glad you all enjoyed it. I have an idea picked out of my next map, but since I'm just back into university it'll have to wait a bit (I.e. until I feel motivated enough to start it).
Jumping puzzles are ****ing retarded. I quit before the first section.
Also, if anyone's interested, here's a teaser pic of my next dungeon:
The Cube. :smile.gif: This is just the very basic design and lighting that I'll be using for each of the cubes. If you've seen the movie, you should have a good idea of what the map will be like. I still haven't really decided how large it will be.... which I need to do, because this time I'm going to put the spawn point/checkpoint area in the exact middle of the dungeon, instead of it being so disorganized, like in the Labyrinth.
If "The Cube" is anything like Hypercube I'm ascared already!
I also did a play through after the update and managed to get lost and cut a hole through a wall before I realized I should've just looked up... I promptly filled the hole I made and proceeded as normal.
Zombies were staying on their spawn points in the ceiling in cactus world for some reason and it seems like now that you edited the pig level the flow of pigs has decreased, but it's more dispersed and impossible to skip the level by previous methods. The towers are awesome! My favorite is the creepy tower (that makes me sound like some kind of masochist). I had issues getting to the tower though, my boat kept destroying itself when going up the stair waterfalls and once it broke in the highest stair and I fell to my death (I decided to cheat myself some health so I could continue on the level, it's funny because when you do that you're halfway through the ground sideways and red!). Also I suck at getting in boats in the tower, I kept missing the right click then they piled up on the bottom of the floor above.
All in all it was great fun, but the end level does leave something to be desired... I think you need to put a giant zombie there as a boss! (that would be epic to have a final boss is all, I wonder if you could do something like a room with a bunch of spawners and TNT to either block the spawner with sand or to destroy it) Aaaaanyway, I really liked the whole labyrinth and I can't wait for your next project (plus with the new stuff Notch will be adding soon who knows how awesomer it will get!
I'll have to look at the cactus room. It shouldn't be too hard to fix, I think. I might just move the spawners under the ground and see if they'll spawn mobs from below.
And yeah... I wanted to do a giant last boss as well, but I had trouble editing it in. It might not be possible, but I'll try something like that for the next release.
Perhaps I will widen that water staircase as well. And I think I could add a little pool in the central tower so you can hop into the boat before going into the elevator.
Hmmmm, if you move them into the ceiling they should spawn below if there's not too little space above them... I think. Not being able to code in a giant last boss is pretty depressing, but I'm sure as time goes on Notch will have some wonderful things in that department.
Well you were talking about making an easy version so you theoretically could just change the water staircase in there instead of redoing this part of the map. I know I will test the easy mode when it comes out at least as much as this one if not more. I also noticed some spots were super dark where the map editor didn't fix the lighting (specifically on one of the checkpoint staircases) it's nothing major and I don't remember any part of it actually breaking gameplay.
Alright, just did a little update, v.31. Nothing too significant, but I did add a checkpoint for the middle of the wooden tower. For the cactus room I just placed the mob spawners on the ground instead (underground ones don't seem to spawn mobs). I re-did the water staircase as well and it actually looks a bit better now. Nothing to necessarily warrant another playthrough, however.
Oh, and I did abandon the cube map... it simply wouldn't have worked well, I think, for a variety of reasons. I'm back in university so I have little time for mapmaking (it is pretty time consuming), but I am working on the labyrinth #2 from time to time. I dunno if I'll finish it ever, but I am working on it.
Erm, there is a platform right by the beginning... It has dozens of boats, and I saw nothing in the rules against breaking those, since they aren't technically blocks

That's fine. You're still not allowed to place any of the wood you get, though. You can just craft with it.
Helllllo Fireb0rn you are a hero!! this map is living hell.
Amount of thought and creativity you have put into this map is just WoW. Man the timing of dungeons spawning mobs I am like speechless.
I get admired and inspired so often so easily but by far this is the best Minecraft contraption I saw and experienced to date. Thanks a million to you.
PS: If you don't mind please add a Donate button to your profile or something. You deserve the kudos not just vocal but with some green too.

I am always tinkering! I screw things up many times! WTH it feels good.

I played the map with the version from the f2p weekend (still no way of buying it) and it was epic. Although I admit I had to cheat on the pig level because the pigs literally jumped on top of me every single time. And I played on peaceful. Ahem... but I'm a noob and you can understand my logic ("****!! ****!!! TOO MANY ****ING ZOMBIES!!! Only one thing to do... *peaceful*). I hope.
But yeah, is there going to be another dungeon and/or another release of this?

Well, I'd love to make another map... but I'm trying to finish my BA this year and am quite busy. There might be another release of this map whenever Notch releases new stuff. I do have a first level done for the Labyrinth #2, and the spawn point, but I dunno when I'll continue work on it. I also have a boat race course roughly themed after Big Blue in F-zero, but it doesn't work too well atm. So, yeah, I dunno.
Whew... that was awesome. Anyway, quick question, are you suppose to be able to empty one of the buckets and pick up a full tank of lava because it was never really make clear.... But the lava was very useful. Also I noticed that after the green room you don't have to use the flint n' steel to set wood on fire.
Oh yeah... after I beat the level I lost the game.

Honestly, somehow, filling the bucket up with lava never never occurred to me.
Awesome so far man. Done with the training levels and two of the towers. The central tower really made me smile, especially with the gentlemen's lounge =P. Those armchairs are clever; I've even used signs on stairs to make them face the right direction before and didn't think of that haha. Can't wait to finish.
I admire most of the things I've seen you do with the 'Craft, and also enjoy your musical tastes xP. Was wondering, I know you said you're busy with school, but has/will anymore work been/be done on that The Cube map you mentioned above? I'd love to see that idea come to fruition, but also understand why it might get scrapped altogether.
A small suggestion, although it's really a non-issue: you might put a chest of slime balls near the checkpoint of the ice-bowling tower, so players don't have to go all the way to the top to get more if they die before they reach the end.

Suicune is awesome BTW.
