FYI: If you're playing the map in Multiplayer, then you'll spawn at the checkpoint area. You will have to climb up the ladder, take a minecart, and go down to Level 1.
What is The Labyrinth? The Labyrinth is a dungeon involving the player battling through a variety of levels, each with its own style and challenges. Obstacles in this map involve battling through waves of mob spawners, jump puzzle areas, climbing levels, mazes, minecart obstacle courses, and more. This map is meant to be *hard*, although even beyond the in-game difficulty settings you can choose your equipment at the beginning to make things easier, or make the map even more challenging. On its hardest mode, Champion hard, this map is extremely difficult and rage-inducing in a wonderful way. If you die at any point in the map, you'll respawn near a checkpoint area, where you can quickly grab a minecart to go back to the beginning of the last level you reached. Currently, the map should take you anywhere two to three hours or more to beat (depending on the difficulty level). There is a fair amount of replayability in the map, as well.
How to install:
If you do not have a program you can use to access archives (I.e. winRAR, winzip, 7zip, etc), then go to http://www.rarlab.com/ - download and install it.
Once you have a program to extract the .zip archive, go into the folder which corresponds to your operating system. Back up your world4 folder if necessary; this can be done simply by renaming the folder. Then use your program to extract the .zip to your saves directory.

General:
- Intermediate chests now contain bows.
- Added hidden signs with codes (which aren't used for anything for now).
- Levels have been drastically changed for balance.
- Lighting has been increased almost everywhere to make mob spawners more consistent.
- In general, the difficulty should be somewhat lower, while still being quite difficult on expert.
- Minecarts now make use of booster tracks.
Lava Bridge (Level 1):
- Added a creeper walkway; creepers will spawn on slow sand and have to inch their way to get to you.
- Added fire everywhere for aesthetics and lighting.
- Ghast spawners are hidden better.
- Halved the amount of spawners in most cubes.
Green Area (Level 2):
- The main walkway is now an island, surrounded by three blocks of water on either side. This makes the large amount of monsters much more manageable, although you still have to worry about skeletons and spiders.
- Added another row of torches to lower the amount of monsters spawning.
- Got rid of all monster spawners: although plenty will still spawn randomly.
- The exit is no longer in a tree, but is instead got to by finding a chest of ladders, which you can place to leave the room.
Pull! (Level 3):
- Most of the levels are easier now so it isn't so tedious.
- Prevented mob spawners from spawning mobs outside of the room.
- Added more spawners to speed things up.
Cave (Level 4):
- Added a new jumping area in the jumping route. It's fairly short, however.
- Added a new monster route before the exit of the level (meaning you will have to go through in either route). It involves spiders and webs.
- Added a checkpoint (to said spider tunnel).
- The spiralling zombie tower now has the zombies spawn on slow sand, giving you sufficient time to react before they hit you off.
- Added a few islands and waterfalls for aesthetic value.
Reed Islands (Level 5):
- Added a significant amount of lighting.
- Revamped the second half: skeletons should no longer spawn outside of their cage, and you now must run through a jumping course while the skeletons shoot at you. To compensate for this, you are now given an extra block of ground to jump around on. To compensate for that, the ground is now water.
Release 2
===================
- Added a "puzzle" (platformer) level inbetween levels 2 "Green Area" and 3 "The Cave" involving pulling monsters onto stone plates using fishing rods. It is very challenging at the moment.
- Added the rage room mini-level, which is a difficult jumping level found below the spawn point.
- Added a jump route to the first "lava bridge" level.
- Added onto the jumping part in The Cave (still haven't added an exploration route).
- Added secrets to all levels; added items to some empty chests.
- Added more outside chunks to hopefully reduce lag from map generation.
- Changed the water slide so it isn't so cruel.
- Changed the "mob staircase" in the Cave. It should be significantly more challenging now.
- Added some signs to give directions to the player.
- Revamped the second half of the Reed Islands level to make it more interesting.
- Checkpoints are completely redone; there should be no problems with them anymore.
- It should be easier to find out where to go in the Green Area.
- Various other small additions and fixes.
- Overall, this release should suck way less than the last one.
