Ever wanted to play MC using an Xbox controller? Well it is really quite simple, first download and extract a program called glove pie (make sure to run it as admin), now open glove pie and copy and paste this code into it
//change this variable to whatever you want
var.sens = 20
//This is allows you to use the analog sticks to control movement and looking, do not change this or it may not work, only change the preceded variable
Mouse.DirectInputX = Mouse.DirectInputX + var.sens*deadzone(XInput1.Joy2X)
Mouse.DirectInputY = Mouse.DirectInputY - var.sens*deadzone(XInput1.Joy2Y)
Key.W = XInput1.Joy1Y > 0.1
Key.S = XInput1.Joy1Y < -0.1
Key.A = XInput1.Joy1X < -0.1
Key.D = XInput1.Joy1X > 0.1
//only a few buttons are added but you can always add more by following the same method below
Key.Space = XInput1.A
Key.LeftShift= XInput1.B
Key.Q = XInput1.Y
Key.E = XInput1.X
Key.Escape = XInput1.Start
Key.F5 = XInput.Back
Mouse.LeftButton = XInput1.RightTrigger
Mouse.RightButton = XInput1.LeftTrigger
Mouse.WheelUp = XInput1.LeftShoulder
Mouse.WheelDown = XInput1.RightShoulder
Mouse.MiddleButton = XInput1.RightThumb
To add more buttons jut type "Key." then a drop down list will appear and you can select the key you want eg "Space" next put in a " = " (space equals space) and then type "XInput1." then select the button from that list, since space bar makes us jump we can use "A" on the controller so now you will have
Key.Space = XInput1.A
It's that easy!
And now of course, plug in your wired xbox controller or wireless reciver and connect your controller, if you don't think the controller has connected then go to run and type in "joy.cpl" and hit enter, you should see the controller there, if it is not, try a different usb port
Note, it can be quite hard learning to play using a controller, if you need help just ask here and I'll get back to you asap and also glove pie isn't very fussy about spelling or cases, you could just type key.space=xinput1.a
