I have been getting tired of my server list getting deleted over and over again. I know that I can just go to the .minecraft folder and change the file extension for servers.dat_tmp but that was to time consuming. So I decided to make a program that changes it for me!
INSTRUCTIONS
****NOTE**** This will NOT work on Mac. It will only work on Windows(Sorry)!
1. Open up Notepad
2. Paste this in:
@echo off
:Start
IF EXIST C:\Users\Kids\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\servers.dat (
GOTO :Start
) ELSE (
IF EXIST C:\Users\Kids\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\servers.dat_tmp (
cd C:\Users\Kids\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
REN servers.dat_tmp servers.dat
)
)
3. Save it anywhere (My Recommendation: Desktop) as a .bat file. Call it anything.
4. Now when the server list gets deleted, just open up the .bat file and press the "Refresh" button.
5. Everything should be back!
