Hello!
If you're like me, you would like some of your Minecraft models as .objs, that you can use on any project you wish. This tutorial will walk you through the steps.
If you are using a Techne model, skip to step 5, If you are using Tabula start here.
1). Save your Tabula model.
2). Download the FREE version of Flan's Mod's Toolbox, you only need it for converting Tabula models to Techne.
3). Once you open the program, you will see a large platform-thing. Go to the top bar, click Import, then click Model From Tabula. Then select your Tabula model.

4). Now your model shall apear. Go to the top bar, click Export, then click Techne. Now you should select a place to store your techne file.
5). Now you will want to download tcn2. This product is originally Russian, so i just cut the language and linked you to the download.
6). Create a new folder. You can name this whatever you want, but I named mine "TechneModels". Place the Techne Model and the tcn2 jar in this folder.
7). Run the tcn2 jar. you should notice a .obj file pop up in this folder. Congratulations! You have created a wavefront object! Open it in blender or another software to see your work!
To get the mobs, install the resource pack on the github, or use the Pokécube Mobs mod below.
Sounds, Textures and additional Pokemobs can be added by also using the following mod:

What do you mean? all of my models were converted for entities. You need to have a renderer for your entity which supports obj models though. (or in my case, one for x3d models)

How can I apply my texture from Techne to the newly created .obj model?
Months late in answering, but for future reference, you can use Blender to add material(s) and assign a texture to it/each. You will most likely have to stretch your texture so it's square and manually adjust the UV mapping.

Curse PremiumI tried following these instructions, but found that the Toolbox thing did not support childed parts in tabula models.
I made a version of tcn2obj that can directly take the .tbl files, you can find info on it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/2617440-tool-tabula-techne-to-obj-model-converter

Curse PremiumAhh, converting to Techne I cannot help with, I wrote something for converting from Tabula to obj, so I could render them manually.
Any proper modding system should allow you to manually render entities, so I suggest doing that.

Curse PremiumI wish there was, but since the OBJ model is generated without materials there's no UV mapping.
