Open the "DisplayName" tag. A window should appear that requests an entry. Delete the text in it.
Copy and paste this symbol into it.
§
Then put a number right after it. The number should correspond to this chart:
0: Black
1: Dark Blue
2: Dark Green
3: Dark Aqua
4: Dark Red
5: Purple
6: Gold
7: Grey
8: Dark Grey
9: Blue
a: Green
b: Aqua
c: Red
d: Pink
e: Yellow
f: White
After that, put in what you want to show.
Finally, put this at the end: §r
For our example, we are going to do gold.
This means we would put §6Kills§r
The Final Result:
If you want to make it bold, put §l after the number.
Remember: This is using the formatting code. I "simplified" it... sorta. If you want to know all you can do here is a link to the wiki page. http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Formatting_codes
This tutorial is for the mapmakers.
Have you noticed every time you create a scoreboard it is just in bland white?
Today, I will show you how to get that ugly white scoreboard and transform it into something a little colorful. You can make it bold, too!
Step 1.
You need to create the objective, obviously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/scoreboard objectives add
Then set it to appear on the side.
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar
When someone's score gets tracked, it should appear on the side.
Step 2.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Install NBTExplorer or some other 3rd party Minecraft NBT Editor.
Here is a link to NBTExplorer:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/1262665-nbtexplorer-nbt-editor-for-windows-and-mac
Step 3.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open the NBTExplorer, and find your world.
Go to the following:
your world's name > data > scoreboards.dat > data: 4 entries > Objectives
You will find roots named "data: 4 entries". Go through them until you find the objective you want to be colorful.
Step 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open the "DisplayName" tag. A window should appear that requests an entry. Delete the text in it.
Copy and paste this symbol into it.
