I have gotten quite far into the tutorials... halfway through #3. I just don't know what to do next. The errors weren't fixed by importing. It says the items cannot be resolved to a type. Also, when I click on the errors, the only options I have are creating things like a class file or renaming something.
Ok one question about textures, if my texture is 128x128 which is a multiple of 16 then it should load as a HD texture right? Because many mod items have more than 256 pixels(16x16). I ask because it wont load the 128x128 texture maybe I can port it downward?
I think you can go up to 32x32 (I've done that), but you may need Optifine for higher resolutions.

So I am new to Java coming from C and BASIC variants but I am stuck on setting up Github. Will this image help you determine what I did wrong or do you need more information?

If you want to learn how to register items to the ore dictionary try to look at the source code of thermal expansion and find the part about OD(Ore dictionary)

I've heard their code is very clean. I'll check it out.
EDIT: I guess "clean" doesn't mean "clear". TE and TD's code does not exist in Git.
So I need the desktop application or something I need to run in Command Prompt? Sorry for being oblivious.
Git is basically a software to help in Version Control. Google 'git', and you should find a download/install type of thing somewhere. I've never downloaded this way since Mac's have packaged with the developer tools, so I'm not sure exactly where you should go unfortunately.
I got the gradlew to work by redownloading forgesrc, but when I open Eclipse I don't see a minecraft folder on the left.

Substring(5)) doesn't remove the tile. from the beginning

did you run gradlew eclipse?
also, did you select the folder as your workspace?

Import "Item".
It should. How are you using it? If the Block's name in-game has tile. in front of it, you need to assign a name using a lang file.

You are running the commands in the wrong folder.
What do you mean exactly?
Thanks, I was switching the workspace to the folder I had everything in, not the folder labled eclipse.
So I highlighted "Item" and did Ctrl+Shift+O. Which one do I select?
Thanks :3
The first one
Hello again, I improved myself in the modding since the last time,
I have a custom mob and want him to explode (it will be better if he
just die and spawn some explosion particles) after attacking the player
one time.
I think I should add the condition to my code :
Use an Event instead, specifically LivingDeathEvent.

nvm
Git needs to be installed on your system.
Whatever your unlocalized name/block name is.

Curse PremiumCan you make a tutorial on the Ore Dictionary? I've been looking for tutorials all over the internet but they're all in 1.6.

Those mods are not open source from what I believe.
Thanks for the feedback
