Hello,
I have looked everywhere to find out how to install forge mods and lite loader mods on a mac, but almost everyone has windows and the mac tutorials that i have seen have been difficult to follow. Now that i have figured out how to do it i want to help you if you have a mac and you dont understand.
I didnt know how to install it and then i found out, but i want to make this as simple as possible. 1. Choose the mods you want to install-they have to be the same version or they wont work at the same time. 2. Go to files.minecraftforge.net and choose the installer for the version of the mods you want to use. 3. download it and run it. -When i try to open forge, it says that it is an unknown developer and my security preferences wont let me open forge. Not a problem. Just go to system preferences, go to security, and at the bottom of what opens when you open security, there is something that says something like "Minecraft forge.jar was blocked because it was an unknown developer." There is an open button beside that. Click on the button. Then forge will open and it will say a bunch of things that i dont understand, DONT CHANGE THEM! just click ok. (The ok button may be "run") Then choose the mods you want to get and download them. They should come in .zip form. If you dont have an unzipper, no problem! You can either look up something like unzipper or zip in the app store or you can google that. There will be something you can download and then open the .zip file with that. then look inside the .zip file for something that says README or something like that. You should read the doc that says readme but there isnt always a readme file. But dont put the readme file back into the mod folder. Just put it in your trash. Then go to finder, hold down option and click on go which is on the top bar of the screen. MAKE SURE FINDER IS OPEN! Then click on library. You must be holding down the option key for this to work. After you click on library, you can let go of the option key. go to application support. then scroll down until you see minecraft. (If you dont have minecraft, you shouldnt be reading this) Then scroll down your minecraft folder until you see a folder called mods. Dont see the folder? Not a problem! Just create one and drop the folder of the mod u downloaded into the folder called mods. (Its not easy to make this text easy, so rad carefully.) Then open your minecraft launcher, and on the bottom left hand corner it will say profile and then your minecraft name unless you have created more profiles. Click on your name and a list should pop up. Then Click on forge and start the game! Have fun using minecraft forge!
Click on lite loader and the latest version. Download both and follow the steps that i explained in downloading forge mods. Then just set your profile to liteloader and play!
3) Downloading maps and playing them.
Ok. We all have wanted to ride a roller coaster map that we love but have we ever not known how to? If you dont know how to, just follow these steps.
1) Go to the map download link.
2) download the map.
3) Get a rar extractor or a zip extractor, what ever the map is compressed to.(When you download the map it will say something.rar or something.zip)
4) Go to your minecraft folder by going to finder, holding down the option key and clicking on go(you are still holding down the option key) and click on library(let go of the option key after you click on library) then go to app support, minecraft, saves(dont have a saves folder? just make one)put map in the saves folder and look in it. Does it have something that says README? read it then take it out of the folder. Make sure the folder also doesnt have pictures in it. then launch minecraft with YOUR profile and the map will be somewhere in your single player worlds!

2) Installing lite loader mods
