Download Installer-Win which is an EXE file or Installer which is a JAR File
From 1.7.2 Latest or 1.7.2 Recommended, Latest is more unstable.
Step 3 JAR
Goto the download location, and right click and select Open With and Select Java.
Step 3 EXE
Goto the download location and double click the file.
Step 4
Select Client and then click install.
Step 5
Open the Minecraft Launcher and make a new Profile.
Step 5.1
Name the Profile whatever you want.
Step 5.2
Select the Game Directory option and add whatever you called your Profile without spaces.
Step 5.3
Select the Forge Version you downloaded in the Version List eg: Forge 10.12.2.1121
Step 5.4
Select JVM Arguments and type -Xmx then how much RAM you want Minecraft to use. I use 4G because my PC has 8GB of ram. If you are not sure use 1G.
Step 5.5
In JVM arguments it should look something like: -Xmx2G
Step 6
Click save. Then start the profile.
Step 7
Forge is now installed, to install mods Open the Launcher, Click Edit Profile and click 'Open Game Dir', and put mods in the 'mods' folder.
Troubleshooting
If you get an error in the installer saying 'Please run the 1.7.2 Profile Once' Open the Launcher and make a profile using version 1.7.2 and run it, then re-open the installer.
