I normally run shaders with about 60-140 frames, depending on what shaderpack im using. but now after 1-3 mins of playing. i get literally 0 frames. i have to exit, and open minecraft again, for fixing it. and the lagg comes again. please help.
alright i get the same error with the texture pack displayed very small on each block im using exact same things as the tutorial and have a good enough pc (alienware m17x r3 16gigs of ram nvidia 580m) It also works fine without optifine.
See a lot of fps complaints, please realize this mod is dumb hard for a computer to run.
Below are my specs so you can scale the settings properly
I ran the video at 30+fps, normal 5400rpm HDD, no lag spikes
Ok even with this rig my settings are conservative
Render Distance= Normal to Short +32 (Depends on texture pack)
All Fancy Details (except Water and grass, looks the same)
Multi-Core of course
Shaders are at 1.4 and 2.0( gives better DOF)
Mo Creatures spawn was turned to 20 max on almost all creatures(not hostiles)
^^^^loading more creatures impacts fps^^^^^ took me a while to figure why i was stuck at 30 fps
If I for get anything, just contact me or comment me with optimization tips or questions.
Love to get everyone to where Im at, its an amazing new look for Minecraft.
Not having any problems with my 7850 and i5-3570k
Cpu overclocked to 4.3 ghz
Gpu at stock speeds
The cpu usage never exceeded 48.9%, maybe its the overclock,
But what i noticed the most was the Vram usage, If you have less than 3gb ram, turn my settings down by one and you should see 60fps without any other mods.
If you have MSI AB monitor your VRAM, and GPU usage, you want a smooth line on the gpu usage, spike means your either running low on memory or your cpu is bottlenecking.
After overclocking the peak of my Gpu usage was much less drastic and the line stayed within 85%-95% which is ideal.
Sorry if my post is to long. Hope it helps!
Hey there. My friend is testing out GLSL for herself, but she's run into a bit of a problem. She has some weird, translucent red pixel filter her screen when she tries to use shaders. As far as we know the shaderpack is perfectly fine, and she's running the shader mod itself (somewhat)smoothly. We were wondering about any opinions on the strange problem? I've quoted her words down below, which include some screenshots of her screen and of her computer's specs.
" Guys i just installed GLSL Shaders mod for 1.6.2 and i have a fairly good laptop but i cant get it to work D: As you can see it is working but im getting this red scratchy thing and i dont know what to do D:
i dont know if its my latop or the mod thats my system ... PLEASE tell me someone knows why its not working D:
Thanks for reading my thread <3"
I've looked it over and I've determined that her machine isn't the problem(unless it is, correct me if I'm wrong), but that leaves either the mod or the shaderpack, which we both believe to be okay. Any ideas?
