Here's great news for those hoping to Fly around in the great open skies of their Cubic Worlds.
As of version 0.10, the Zeppelin Mod has a line in it's Config file where you can change it's height limit from 128 to whatever you want! :biggrin.gif:
I've taken it for a spin in a Cubic World after changing it's config and it lets you fly craft as High and as Low as you wish, and does so smoothly. :wink.gif:
The only thing that would make this better, is to be able to use heightmaps. I know Omen does heightmaps (I used to use it for Creative) but anything bigger than 1024 x 1024 x 256 makes Omen crash. If anyone is up to the task of making a Delphi/C/C#/C++ heightmap importer (possibly with cave, ore, tree generation) do it.

I agree. The terriain & map editing aspects of higher worlds will be seeing a lot of growth. There is just so much that could be done. I looked up the Omen Map Editor and found the following links: [ Omen - MC Wiki ] + [ Omen - MC Forums ] Wow, that is some history right there.
From the wiki entry for Omen I found the following Definition of "Height Map":
A heightmap is a (typically greyscale) PNG image that contains pixels of different brightness representing a 3d landscape. Brighter pixels represent higher areas. When a heightmap is imported, a 3d landscape is generated. You can create a heightmap in an image editor such as Photoshop. Heightmaps must be of the same size in the X and Z directions as the map.
Is this what you are talking about? Yeah, that would be good to have. I'll make sure to mention this to the crew when they reach a point in the CC-PTM's conversion and development where it might be something one of them could do something about, unless someone reading this is interested? :smile.gif:

He was on an airborne structure and when i ran up to him he jumped off and as i looked down i saw him just jumping after monsters striking them with lightning from the sky. Try installing v1.45 of the Cubic Chunks Mod if v1.46 is not working. This mod is designed to be completely compatible with ModLoader and current versions of it even require ModLoader.
I hope you aren't trying to install this with OptiFine? If you read my instructions you would know to not do that, and if you are using HDPatcher then you will need to follow my instructions for using that.

ShapedCharges is CC Compatible. It recognizes the presence of "ChunkCube.class" and centers the explosions on the ShapedCharge, instead of the center of the world.

It is completely compatible with the Cubic Chunks mod as well as the Zeppelin Mod. Quite a combo. :wink.gif: It's page has pictures of it in use with all three at the same time.

My friends and I haven't started using this for our hogwarts server because once my friend/host tried to install the server version and wasnt able to run minecraft. Could you explain the process more detailedly so we can start making awesomeness? Btw, the server is bukkit so we can use world edit and other plugins which brings another question: is that world edit version for cc compatible with multiplayer?
Unfortunately there isn't a bukkit version of the Cubic server mod yet, but there should be eventually. Robinton is hoping to have a 1.5x test version of the regular server available soon. I would recommend waiting at least for that one and using a 1.5x Client with it.
I'll try to add a little more server prep info to the download section but I think it already covers what's needed if you go to the server set-up link next to it. I'm certain though that your friends main problem was that Cubic is not compatible with bukkit yet (which is mentioned near the server mod download).
I don't know that answer regarding WorldEdit XT, I'll need to check on that.
The thing is; the server version of the Cubic Chunks Mod is only at an experimental phase right now, I wouldn't commit a critical project to it just yet. :wink.gif:

* For those desperate to start playing with Terrain Generation higher than 128, go to this post # 1332.
** This is an old TEST version of a CC-PTM Terrain Generator! But it's the newest one we have atm.
It is limited to Terrain features 256 high, but it's a great start! In fact, the code does allow for higher terrain already but there is a bug in it which doesn't change the height when you change the height setting in the .ini file. It should be fixable.
Also; unfortunately this patch was compiled against Java 7, so it will only work with Java 7 until it can be recompiled.
You will have to use CC v1.42, a 4096 high version of Cubic Chunks, with this patch. But, any worlds you make with it will work fine with current and newer versions of Cubic Chunks. :smile.gif:

how the hell do i "run the .jar file" in the world save converter for cc?
Edit- Meh never mind my comp is fast enough that the in game conversion lag is negligible.
The .jar file is not in the world save converter, it is the world save converter. It is possible that file extensions are turned off in your OS?
So long as Java is installed on your computer you should be able to "run" any .jar file by double-clicking it or right-clicking on it and selecting run. Otherwise Minecraft wouldn't work, as the .exe launcher just "runs" the minecraft.jar file once you've "logged in".
Of course, you will need to have extracted the file/s from the download first just like with anything you download that's in a .zip or .rar . You don't run software from within winrar, for instance, you extract the software into a real folder in your Operating System. Or at least you do with Java files.
Someone else in this thread already had this same problem, they were trying to run the converter from within winrar instead of the Operating System.
btw: This is all explained in the Walk-through instructions I have for the World Save Converter in the OP.
The below mentioned v1.51 of the Cubic Chunks Mod has now reached normal, non-experimental release. Thanks to testers more bugs were found and squished. :wink.gif:

Did you follow the directions in the OP exactly? I will need lots more information. What is conflicting with Modloader, what version is it, etc.
