I am currently working a PvP mini game (that isn't finished yet), but I want to post it to the forums while it's in its indev/alpha stages so I can get feedback/constructive criticism from you wonderful people here on the forums. I currently am using dropbox to share the world with friends (they haven't looked at it yet, sadly) and I am wondering about the safety of using dropbox as a tool to allow the public to download my map.
Does sharing the link to this specific dropbox folder open a way for hackers/criminals to get at my information (personal and otherwise)? Is there a way to share files on the forums using dropbox that does the same thing as MediaFire (gives the file name, size, but no information about the account posting the file)? Is dropbox even worth trying to share my map with the world? Or should I just forget about all of this and get/use MediaFire (or similar)?

You can put it all in a .zip or .rar and share a direct link for that file(go to the link they give you, right click "Download" and click copy link adress). You can also put that link inside a bitly link and people won't directly see the download link.
How, hypothetically, do I do the bit.ly link? I know nothing about HTML/URL stuff. XD
Also, to use the hyperlink tool, do I just highlight the stuff I want hyperlinked and put the link in an editor or something (like in Microsoft Word)?
