Incredibly useful, now I can make switches and triggers with conditions :3 Yay for me being experienced in that and there being a tutorial :3
Anyways, is there a way to make monsters unable to move for a set period of time? For players /effect 2 *time* 20 would make them slow enought, but...
This won't work if you have a very open environment
If you guys have any prototypes, feel free to either post them in a comment or send them to me via a PM. I'm looking to add new things to the OP, but I need your help!!~Feare_104
I was wondering if you could make a command block say a certain persons name when they have 0 xp. I was planning on making a map where people get 1000 xp, and everytime they died, they would lose 10 xp, and when they got to 0, they would die, but i wanted to have a command block say that "<player name> died because they lost all of their xp" but i dont know how to put their name, and not someone elses.

/say @p died because they lost all of their xp
It's on the front page of the forum, which also has a tutorial for an experience bank.

This would only work every 10-20 levels. If you make the player start with 500xp, they can lose 5xp every death. If you made it EVERY 10, then they'd just endlessy lose levels because of the clocks.
I suggest running hopper clocks, into a command block with /testfor @p 450l. Off that, a comparator into /xp @p -5l. This would remove 5xp levels from a player if they have 450l, due to dying. Do this for every 10 levels.
Also, if this were to work, keepInventory would have to be on, otherwise the player will those their levels when they die anyway..
One thing, though: You should probably add the full screenie above thw 'How to use...; and 'How to build' sections, so the whole structure can be seen clearly as reference (it's a full 1080p screenshot, as are most I took).
Holy Crap. Remember when this wasn't getting enough views? Dude, look at that majestic *9,000* you got there! Keep it up! Plus I have to admit that this helped alot (:
More scoreboard info would be great. Also, ( And I'm not sure about this difficulty! ) I saw a map where Command Blocks were used to see how many days had passed, and more info on how to do that would be GREATLY appreciated! Overall, a great thread & I hope it stays up for a good, long while!
Okay, I'll add up some more scoreboard info for you.
The "days past" mechanism has the same basis as the "Week Counter" I didn't make this, but if you click on the name beside the title of it, you can send Raecchi a PM and ask her about it.

Alright! That looks sweeet!!!!
I'll add the "IMPORTANT! How to use correctly" and "How to build" sections to the OP! Credits'll be given, of course.
Thanks

This would be useful for a server-MOTD type thing, however I have some other ideas for it that I will not discuss, because they are secret!
Anyways, thanks!
