it wouldn't start. Did all you asked to. "Gave up trying to download https://s3.amazonaws...kpack-1.6.2.jar for job 'Version & Libraries'
Job 'Version & Libraries' finished with 6 failure(s)!"
Problem is is you guys are just copying the file, not applying the principal. That was my json, and I had it set to load the backpacks mod from outside of the mods folder. If the Copy/paste was not so strong here you'd read the rest of the post and apply what you learn.
You managed to decompile and continue without me giving source code? O_O Bro, you are a god. Of course do whatever the [REDACTED] you want!!!! Good luck on it

EDIT: I stopped using forge; the load-up speed is great with vanilla.
Well one thing is you need to use the "serverreq": false line on most, if not all, of the forge libs. I've got all of mine done that way, and it works way fast.

Ok, if you ever need to reset your minecraft folder for some resane when this in acshon, tihs shoud work:
First, BEFORE you do ANYTHING with your JSON file, at all, you need to back it up to your Desktop.
Then, later when you want to reset it, you have to go to your changed AND the organil one, then copy the organil one to the changed,
deliting the changed txt as you go.
Then, you delite what you want, then open minecraft.
Done!

True that, lol. You'd think it would be common sense.

Not unless you want to hunt down and use all the mods I have installed into it. It is for example only; and the operation is really simple anyways, all you have to do is add "serverreq": false and any appropriate commas to keep proper syntax.

you have mods that some of us dont have do it normaly wene you first install it
How about you just learn? I'm not going to perpetually update that post as new versions of forge and optifine come out. Adding a single line to each library entry in your json is not so hard as to be impossible to understand, and I will not reward plain laziness.

good to know, I might try this for 1.7.10, it would be nice if there was either a pre setable option outside the .json file to set to false, or a tool someone could create to edit those lines.

Does this still work?
I've tried it with Forge 1.8, and as far as I know, it still works.
good to know, I might try this for 1.7.10, it would be nice if there was either a pre setable option outside the .json file to set to false, or a tool someone could create to edit those lines.

Hey, this still works BTW.
What are the lines "clientreq" ?
Can I set those to false too?
