I normally wouldn't help because it is easy to see you are not following my tutorials for this but I thought I would be a bit nicer than usual.

Make sure you have all your commas and semicolons in the proper places, and make sure things are spelled correctly, I've had this error before and I had a misplaced comma.
EDIT: Also, if you aren't using eclipse, I highly recommend it, its a life saver.
It's just the way they are set up. They don't quite have the same properties.
so i went back and looked at the minecraft code and your right, i just think it is a little weird that the sword and the hoe extend their own class file
Is it possible to change the crafting recipe of an already existing recipe without changing CraftingManager?
Not change, but add another one for the same item.

When life gives you a potato, wonder why the heck life just gave you a potato. Why not something else? Like money? Or a combustable lemon? No, you get a potato. Nothing else.

Can you please add a more advanced tutorial on biomes, such as the grass colour, tree types, actual terrain generation, and more? Also, how do you make mobs emit particles, and move their limbs/head/other visually when using a custom model?
Also, can someone make a list of block language IDs for making generated structures with (e.g. Furnace = stoneOvenIdle)
...they're defined in Block.java. If they've been instantiated, the object name will be the same as said in the class, and wouldn't be different...

Are you gonna make any more ModLoader TUTs after the list is finished? Or are you going to make your Forge TUTs.
Either way, great tutorials! Gave me a LOT of help.
Forge. No more ModLoader.

I don't seem to be able to work MCP properly. I have a mac. When I determine the right directory and type bash decompile.sh, it says:
-bash: /Users/amal/Desktop/Minecraft/Modding/mcp72: is a directory
What's happening?
P.S. My name isn't Amal.
You're dragging and dropping your folder into the terminal, not running the script. Type "cd /Users/amal/Desktop/Minecraft/Modding/mcp72" without the quotes then type "sh decompile.sh" without the quotes to decompile.
Wat you're doing is running a directory. So it tells you it's a directory, not a runnable file.
