I wanted to create a forum post where I could organize tutorials and modding related links in one post.
Making it easy to search for and find good modding resources.
After a few attempts on creating the layout I found that the thread would be messy no matter how I did the layout so I went for a different approach, I created a simple website for the list.
The website is not finished, but there are already several tutorials in the list and more are being added by me after this post is done
After getting the site online I notice a lot of things not visible when running against a local database and the local server. Also the design for the new list is clearly horrible.
Time to re-do the new list and make it more in style with the old one this time.
UPDATES: 29/11 - Major rework of the site. Here's the change list:
Categories, tutorials are now marked with category icons and you can filter your search by category.
Search box is no longer cleared after every search.
Types, added Icons showing if it's a video or text tutorial.
Version status for both 1.6 and 1.7 for all tutorials.
Same overall design as the old list, just with more features.
New list limited to Forge/General tutorials only. (The old list still exists!)
10/08 - Added simple search functionality. You can now search for tutorials by author and names.
Also added the possibility to filter searches based on type.
If you want tutorials or resources added to the list, then yell out below
If you have suggestions or comments, do the same
The plan is to make the list searchable and sortable.
Also it will be implemented ways to filter the list based upon tutorial types (forge, ml, bukkit etc.).
Later I do plan on adding difficulty rankings and such. But first I need to improve the design!
So what do you guys think? Do you have any suggestions for tutorials to be added here?
Yes, people are always asking for help with furnace code. Its sad though when I post exact copy working code from my own mods and they are like it doesnt work. Its not so much annoying, just I dont understand, especially when its new to modding people that are saying it dont work. Any how, I am also going to be doing a custom block model tutorial as well, something else others keep asking about.
Nice list - very useful to have them all in one place like that!
I made a tutorial on creating Items that can store Inventories - several people asked me for it and I haven't seen anyone else post a similar tutorial (not saying there isn't one, just haven't seen it myself). Feel free to add it if you want.
There's also my tutorial on rendering custom items in game - there are lots of these tutorials, but mine is up to date for 1.6.2 and I feel mine is written very clearly. Feel free to disagree, I won't mind
My other tutorials are linked at the bottom, but I kind of go off into tangents in those... might not be as useful... heh.
The webpage is being updated with a new list.
See the top post or view the page for more details.
Current problem: Name field
The names are quite out of focus, since they are the central part of the information I want to make them the main focus.
I think they should be moved on top of the tutorial box, with the information under them.
EDIT:
The new list didn't work out well, I will rework it to be more like the old list.
Okay finally the new design is finished and working.
After some fooling around with the design I went back to the original simple design.
The intended "simpler" way of doing things just ended up being horribly over complicated

Find out how I generate....coolAlias...world structure generation and rotation tool...
Custom grid is already added, and the custom furnace I added as well. The later one being quite frequently asked for
Find out how I generate....coolAlias...world structure generation and rotation tool...
I don't see much need for so many more,of them, unless you feel you can add any more too the topic
Also I think theres two others 1.6.X ones for that burried here as well
It's now possible to search for tutorials by name and author.
It's also possible to filter them by type.
If you experience any bugs please let me know and I will get it fixed as soon as possible
