My family and I just started a YouTube channel for playing Minecraft. My son is 6 years old loves being creative and decided he wanted to make a whole bunch of video game videos of just having fun for other kids to watch. He wants to make videos and try and start a small community that’s kid friendly. Can anyone give me tips on how to make this better and more fun? I know in the future we will need a better computer and camera for filming and possibly an actual script but at this point we are just starting. Also, the link below is his/our first video. I’m not looking for likes or subscribes right now, just looking to help him make better content. Thank you in advance for any help anyone can give.
Hi there, firstly subscribed. Ya'll are so adorable and it warms my heart.
When making a community, make sure there are rules for the community. Rules like, no griefing , no swearing , etc just whatever you feel is suitable for your son's community.
Since your son is younger, maybe set an age limit on who is allowed to join the community.
So are you guys playing on java or xbox in the future? because you posted in the java section and i see xbox in the video

It looks like everyone has a front page professionally made... is that necessary?
Honestly, it depends on the direction you want to go in. If you don't care about being noticed and just want to post videos for fun then you can just leave it be.

Thank you so much for your advice about the kid rules! We kind of started because my son watches YouTube players but he keeps changing the channels because they aren’t “kid friendly”. He’s very sensitive to violence/cursing and things that we as adults just gloss over. Oops, I didn’t know there were sections in here?! We are playing on the Wii U. Computers are really expensive so we bought another used Wii U so we can have separate users and screens but still play and build with him. It’s been a fun way to bond : )
Thank you! Yeah it doesn’t look too bad I guess. YouTube took a snapshot automatically and put this as the front image. We are definitely doing it more for fun and helping our son with his new hobby. He loves this stuff!
