Just wondering. A little bit of info about the server..maybe an announcement...maybe a status update, estimated time of what's happening? Why do WE the players have to figure this out when you are making millions of dollars? What are you spending that **** on that you can't fix your servers or even let us KNOW what's going on. :angry.gif:

Have you heard of and thought of any of the following:
1) It IS after midnight where they live and there is this thing called sleep
2) The team doesn't physically live with the servers
3) They don't host the login server at all. I believe they are part of the amazon cloud or something like that
4) There's this thing called twitter...
So next time you want to get angry at Mojong, do us all a favor and don't post here until you've had a thought or two.

So with ALL his money they have they can't hire ONE guy to keep an eye on the server at the least? They just go to sleep and say **** it? What the **** is the point of paying for the game if they wont keep up with it?
I used to play WoW back in The Burning Crusade/The Lich King days. I thought the weekly maintenance extensions were ********, but at least Blizzard notified us when something was wrong. Mojang is probably the luckiest game developer ever. They've literally just blundered their way through everything, and somehow managed to come out on top, and with a rabidly retarded fanbase as well. Not only are they developing how many games now? and they haven't even finished one?, but they have no concept of customer support or even notification. Blizzard would come on hourly and say "we still can't get pete out of the bathroom to fix it, wait an hour" but Mojang hasn't done jack ****.
If Blizzard started caring about PvP I'd go back to WoW in a heartbeat and never complain about Blizz's antics.

I don't think your constant thread posts will fix anything. What is this your 3rd in the last 15 minutes?
Although, I do agree that having some sort of 24/7 customer support would a wonderful addition to Mojang's small team.

You probably aren't cool enough to play on the Talenta server. But you can try and apply.
And anybody that isn't pissed about this is just a sackrider.
It is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable for a game this size to be down for this length of time, *no matter what time of day it is.*
No friend, the Sony data breach was unacceptable.
This on the other hand, is to be expected. They ARE a small gaming company, who are constantly making and releasing updates to Minecraft, and are creating a game called Scrolls. It seems to me that even though you aren't satisfied with the current situation, they don't care. Want to know why? Because as soon as the problem is solved, you'll be back to mining happily. So sit down, shut up, and find something better to do that ***** about the authentication servers being down. It will be fixed soon, don't worry.

If I helped you in any way, or if you think my smart-assed comments were funny. Please hit the green button in the lower right corner of my post. Thanks!
How about they spend a little bit of their $200,000 per day on better servers?
Wait, I seem to remember people complaining about this a year ago when they failed to upgrade their servers to handle the user load in time.
Then, in a week they had the same problem.
This isn't a rare thing for anyone who has been around for longer than a year.
I'm not saying it is a rare thing bro, but keep in mind that they are a INDIE game company, with a staff of less that 50 people in total. Keep in mind that your playing a BETA, and the game isn't even officially released yet. The only reason people are whining so much about this is because they like the game so much. So it doesn't really matter if they fix it now, or tomorrow. Because when they do fix it, everyone will be happy again.
I'm not trying to act like I'm not a bit annoyed by this, because I am in fact very annoyed that I can't play SMP with my best friend. But whining will get us nowhere, and it will only make it seem like it took longer for them to fix.

Anywho, man up and play some TF2 (free!) or something else instead of whining about it here.
EDIT: THEY DID let us know, if you even bothered to check Notch's or Jeb's twitter.

well considering its like 3am... if mojang are still awake then they'll be doing this...
Agreed, that image says it all...
