I'm new to this forum and created this account for the soul purpose of asking for help, I'm encountering constant freezes and it's really starting to bug me as the game is unplayable like this, im running Windows Vista with an AMD Athalon 1.9 duel core, 4gbs of RAM and an Nvidia 9800 GT graphics card, I've tried everything from deleting .minecraft and reinstalling to running different service packs and nothing seems to help the issue. The only way i can describe this problem simply is that the game will freeze for no apparent reason and usually within 5-10 minutes of clicking the icon.
I apologize if this has been answered else where and if it has please be kind enough to point me in the right direction, thank you.

wwell.... you computer can definitely handle the game, im net sure what to do then? sorry, il give you a ???
It is the Nvidia graphics card, minecraft has a problem with some of them and that causes crashes, try running it on fast settings and on a lower render distance such as normal or small, those are the only fixes I know of, but notch is working on fixing the problem :wink.gif:
