Im not completely sure that this has to do with the new minecraft launcher but everytime i try to log in it just loads for ever and never actually lets me log in
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-11001 has been reported. The fix is to follow the directions to roll it back. But if you can *confirm* as much detail as you can as to what happened to get the "no login", perhaps it will help the Devs figure out what's tripping this thing. Thanks for voting on this bug and confirming it's a real one.
Here is a temporary workaround until Mojang fix it:
Press the "Windows key + R" at the same time and type "%appdata%/.minecraft"
In that folder, open the "launcher_profiles.json" file with notepad. At the bottom change "channel": "beta", to "channel": "release".
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!

Thanks it worked
its pretty annoying that they put out a beta launcher with this big of a bug in it
Something specific appears to be triggering this that the devs did not catch That's why it is important to try to note what led up to this so they can duplicate it.
We've talked about getting cardboard cutouts of a maintenance guy at work because sometimes our equipment only seems to fail when someone able to fix it isn't looking.
