Okay, so my friend was talking to one of our other friends and then he said "He'd do that", which is not perfect grammar, and no one really cares, but then she ended up screaming at him. He said that none of his friends or anyone he knows cares, so then she said that all of his friends are idiots. We were taking a field trip thing to the library (uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh) and he said that on the way back.
Much of what satisfies a teacher is knowing that they are helping young people learn. Students acting unintelligent in such a way that makes what a teacher does seem fruitless is disheartening, and is like a slap to the face. She should not have burst out like that, but I can understand how she felt.
That's an excellent point. I have a feeling that teacher had a disruptive, unfocused, hopeless classroom.
When you talk like uneducated idiots, it makes your teacher feel the sting of professional failure.
After all, it is her job to educate you sorry bunch of linguistic layabouts.
No wonder it pisses her off no end when you all don't give a damn, and display it in the school environment, right in front of her.
An overreaction? Possibly, but an entirely understandable one.
It's a big "**** You, Teacher!" even if you didn't mean it that way.
Now quit teasing your long suffering educator before she cracks, her replacement could be a damn sight worse than a Grammar Nazi.
Jokes aside, sure, if you saw that students weren't absorbing what you teach them, it is a little disheartening, but calling them idiots is an overreaction.
A long time ago in the 3rd grade, a 4th teacher yelled and called me a nitwit in front of everyone because my shoes were untied. I never bothered to tie my shoes after she yelled at me. I was too busy with my intense game of freeze tag.
Perhaps she does.
The teacher in question does seem a little... crazy?
That's an excellent point. I have a feeling that teacher had a disruptive, unfocused, hopeless classroom.
Grammar Nazis are good! I happen to be one.
Being a grammar nazi does not impress most, not even the ladies.
Does it look like I care?
It impresses me, because I'm a self-absorbed introvert.

I +1'ed as well. I approve of this teacher.

*grandma hitler
I was thinking the same thing...
Ooh, post #1900!
Yeah. That is what I meant to type. Sorry.
