So, Battlefield 3. I have a friend who's getting it, and he's really excited about it. I have a pretty nice computer that would be able to run it VERY well, and I'm just wondering if I would like it. I don't think I could describe everything I like about games ever, but... Yeah. Just sort of "You will like it if...", that sort of thing.
If you like coordinating with squadmates, gameplay that involves more than just combat (support roles such as delivering health and ammo, reviving downed teammates, repairing and destroying vehicles, supplying spawn points, marking enemies for teammates to kill, shelling enemy territory, knocking down walls to get a clearer shot, etc.), and dislike camping. After you unlock a few things, you can end a person's camping with a bit of creativity and high explosives.
If any senator wishes to read this, I suggest a SUSA bill. Stop United States Act. If the internet needs to babysit your lawmaking, Then there's something wrong.
Do you like more realistic shooters or fast paced action shooters? If you chose realistic then I would prefer BF3 if you like fast paced action get MW3. I got BF3 and thats enough I dont need MW3 also
From what I've heard, Battlefield is good but (again) from what I've heard so does people like the CoD series better. I'm getting MW3 tomorrow instead of using my money for Battlefield.
Reviewers are sold out. COD still sells for its name.
My proof: Black ops, MW2, and now MW2.5
If you like quality games, get BF3. I play it, and it is really good, if you have a good PC. (unless playing on PS3 XBOX)
All right... I don't know if I'm going to BUY it myself, But I might put it on my wish list. (I'm kind of low in the cash department) The friend I was talking about might get it for me as a gift, because he kind of wants someone to play it with. That he KNOWS, that is. I probably won't hate it. I might not get SUPER into it, but I'm sure I'd enjoy it just fine.
You will like it if you prefer big open-area maps, rather than small narrow ones like in CoD. (There are some small narrow maps too)
You will like it if you like vehicles in military games. Controlling tanks, helicopters, jet planes etc., or controlling the guns in said vehicle.
You will like it if you enjoy being the sniper lying on a big rock on top of a hill, carefully picking down the enemies in the base beneath the hill.
You will like it if you enjoy being the strategic, defending engineer, who puts out explosives by the base entrance and hide in a window with a rocket launcher, as the enemy tanks roll in to their death.

You should take a look at arma 2. It's pretty much what necroparade is describing, except larger. If your pc can run bf3, then arma would be nothing(it uses more CPU though)

My livestream channel, gonna stream some arma (or other games)!
Will it be on steam? Or will I have to get it separately? I'm assuming the latter.
Its supposed to only be on Origin (New EA gaming site thing). EA decided not to go with Steam for unknown reasons and as of this moment EA has no plans to ever release it on Steam.
Battlefield 3 is a good game, but you need skill or good camp :laugh.gif:
The new thing about BF3 Multiplayer i noticed on servers, there is less campers.
That's because the maps are fairly large and because of the enhanced performance to the destruction - do you want a huge piece of the ceiling falling on you while sniping out n00bs in a 2 story building?
Oh and grammer check:
"there is less campers."
"there are less campers."

But.... How am I supposed to put it on my wishlist so my friends can buy it for me?! HOW?!
But in all honesty, what would be the best way to go about suggesting it as a gift without... you know, being kind of tactless about it? :tongue.gif:
How would that POSSIBLY help? The only thing I'd be able to do at Walmart is buy it MYSELF. I really don't understand what you're trying to say here. :blink.gif:

He's saying you should buy it yourself, duh (stop being lazy :tongue.gif: )

It does not.
The EULA was fixed, and now it sends info about EA games installed on your PC only.

Call of duty is not better than battlefield.
COD and Battlefield are both good games,
but personal preference tips the scale on which one is better.
so does steam but they publicly show what you have unlike EA does
