My bad. I thought it was the Sectional Moderators that decided, and then the Forum Admin that had to decide as well.
Well, like I said, moderators can (and back when I was admin, did quite often) voice their opinion through votes and comments, but in the end it was the FAs choice alone. There were a few I denied/accepted against the general opinion of the mods, but that was pretty rare.
Overall it's a very nice and way better system than we used to have (every post in 1 section), but it still takes time.
What's the function of the buttons labeled "30 days" "60 days" and "90 days" when viewing my application? I've pressed the 30 days one, as I'm assuming the function of them is to let the admins know when an application has been pending for over 30 days. Thanks!
If I remember correctly, those buttons do absolutely nothing. I'm not sure what they were originally supposed to do, but they're unused in our current system.

They're part of the statistics section but they're broken anyway. So yeah, they don't do anything (and are unused, as said by Beltir).

Thanks for clearing that up. I figured the mods did have a voice in it, but wasn't sure who decided overall.

If I had to guess, they're supposed to show member stats for the past x number of days. (stats such as locked topics, reports, etc)

VCtheDerp is correct, most if not all of those stats are broken in some way.
As for that batch discussion earlier, from what I've seen, batches are steadily on the rise in terms of size, so don't be surprised if they take 2 or even 3 months at a time.

Sorry for asking a probably obviously answerable question, but it confuses me so.
Adding on to 'they don't affect your application', we use an external (non-Curse) program called Apparatus which doesn't show statistics at all, so even if we wanted to see them, we couldn't.

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

Well technically there's a link to the statistics page on Apparatus, but I don't know about you, but I've never clicked it. It doesn't really say anything and the information logged on it only seems to apply to stuff done after the application was sent in. It's very unreliable information so we don't bother with it, we just go through a person's profile by hand. It gives more accurate information and allows us to get a feel for the person much better than some numbers would.
for the question "do you have any moderating experience", can that also mean moderating on anything or just moderating on a forum.
like ex: moderating a server. does that count?

I would love to apply, I have been a member of Minecraft Forums and Minecraft itself for a long time now, but is there a requirement of how many posts you should have? Thanks!

There is no requirement of post count. So you can go ahead and apply!
any one can be a moderator no matter how many post they have. It is determined on how you act and what the quality of your content you post. Heck, some one with 1 post could even become a mod if they wanted to. You dont have to show your self and be kknown by people to get mod, just browse the forums and be part of the comunity. I say being a mod is taking it one step up in the comunity, not for the fame or for the attention, but to simply just be the comunity and help out with it.
I believe there's a requirement to have at least 10 (or was it 20?) posts. You can't judge a user simply from one helpful post, but if their posting quality is consistent, they stand a decent chance.
well thats what i ment but ye :/ i wasnt actually sure about the post count, i just no its not about how many times you post but like we both said, "the quality and content of the post(s)"

Oh, alright, thanks.

I believe the top line is to show moderation against the user who submitted the app, but it doesn't seem to work. (Again, could be wrong.)
Bottom line is obviously to show how active said user is.
But I post much, much more actively than that.
Just some statistics (some of which don't work), no need to be worried about them; they don't affect your application in the slightest.
That just shows if you've posted in that particular hour (1 obviously meaning yes).
Oh, okay, much more understandable. Thanks.

No problemo, but I recommend reading through the posts above this one. I was a little off.
Does it matter? A lot of other people applied 2 months ago. You just have to be patient and wait. Like Beltir said, batches take as long as is needed.
