I disagree entirely. There have been plenty of people on past forums I've been on that were not moderators, but were some of the most helpful members, and they were well known amongst the community. You do not have to have a title to be recognized as someone who contributes to the community.
You misunderstood my meaning. I am saying that you can be the most helpful member and were well known and did not have the title. but you can also have the title to stand out even more.

The title makes you stand out in the sense you're a staff member, not that you're helpful to the community. Again, I've even seen it recently; someone who isn't staff can be more well known than a staff member because of how active and helpful they are within the community. You're trying to go off that the "moderator" title makes you well known/famous in the community. This isn't accurate in the slightest. Maybe on some forums that have people who are brand new to forums and think a staff position is high and mighty.
The reality is that moderators are no different than us non staff members. They have some extra powers that are used to help keep the forum clean, and have colorful names, that's it. They are not special, nor are they are better than the community.
(No offense to the mods for saying you're not special. You all are in your own way. :P)

Reputation in the community makes you stand out more than just a title.
The title Mod is just to show that you are good enough to be recognized.
No,that not it.Anyone ca be reconized for anything. And you DON'T have to have the Modarotor title to be recongized for being helpful.

Im quitting the forums and also have 3 infractions so I basically have a 0% Chance of becoming staff. Is there a way I can delete my application? Am I in the current batch? If I am then ill just wait for a response. But is there a way to delete it?
Life on the Minecraft Forums isn't all about becoming a staff member. It is more about sharing and discussing ideas with an awesome community.
Unless you're asking a legitimate question or answering one, please keep general chatter out of this topic. This is strictly meant for questions only (although it is so rare that we get a legit question asked in this topic).
[Hopefully a legitimate question] (And I hope I haven't missed a post in which someone has already asked this question)
But when an application is submitted, which member of staff actually confirms the said application? Do all staff members get to post an opinion? Is it a majority vote?
Thanks.
The forum admins does the yes/no choice, moderators only give their opinion.
I don't know if there is a possibility for a guy like me who gets infractions every month to become a moderator.
OK listen. The Moderators and Admins have posted countless times that just because you receive infractions doesn't necessarily mean you will not get the position you want.
I've posted an application in December. How long dose it usually take for an application to be reviewed? Is this a normal time span for me to be waiting for this?

On a daily basis, I'm assuming they get loads of applications. They can't spend hours and hours each day looking through them and deciding, so it's a very slow process. Patience will be the very big key factor here.
Don't quote me, but there's a small chance your application could've been accidentally skipped. Maybe they are backed up a few months, I am obviously not someone who would know for sure.

Yes. Batches usually take around 1-2 months, depends really on the number of applications in the batch.

As an additional note to this: While 1-2 months is how long it normally takes, it takes as long as it needs to. If for whatever reason that means 3 months or 4 months, that's how long you'll wait. Reviewing applications is an additional task for administrators done whenever they have the time to, on top of everything else they do.

Those are the Site administrators
The FA's are the ones handling certain sections, yes.
By example, see Alexia.
All the people under the "Forum Admin" section in this thread has the ability to accept/deny applications.

Applications cannot get skipped because of the way the applications process works.
