As far as I know, no. If your application gets accepted, an admin (presumably the one of the section you got accepted for) contacts you, after which you can begin moderator training. Once you finish training, you can start moderating. There are no interviews involved but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
(sorry for off topic but i want to explain this to people with very specific questions)
First off, if you are going to ask about situations, don't ask. You will know how to handle a situation
right on the spot. The current admins and mods can't tell you what to do because moderating (in my opinion)
is a go with the flow process. A situation pops up, you handle it. That is pretty much it. If you ask how to handle it,
people will not know what to tell you because many variables fall into play when dealing with situations. If and when you do
become a moderator, you can ask for back up with a situation but you currently (as a member) cannot ask what to do
in a situation like that because you are the one who is making the calls. To prevent less spam on this post, please dont ask
specific questions about situations.
ex:
what do i do when some one is complaining to me about another person an then every thing just gets chaotic?
first off, you are not a moderator so please dont even think about situations.
second off, its you who decides what happens.
i know this really inst relevant to any recent posts but i just want to make that clear for previous posts and future posts to this topic.
Admins and mods, if you think i did well with this reply, thanks. If you think it is unecessary, go head and delete it.
And that is why you shouldnt ask specific questions about situations.
Yes, we usually look at people's profiles. So long as you haven't been away months at a time, you should be good. Maybe a good idea would be to state that your computer is broken on your profile page, so we don't wonder where you are.
Three of the past Five latest visitors to my profile are Sec. Mods for the Section I applied to...erm...

I wish people would realize this applies here and alot of other places
So the amount how many visitors to your page are mods or admin does not mean that they will be considering you?
Think of it like this. They can look at your application, but that only tells them so much. They view your profile to see if there's anything on it that may be enlightening, whether it be a good or bad enlightening (and/or just to view your profile and see who you are, or if you say anything in your 'about me' that may help the mods get to know you without actually talking to you). I could get into some specifics (guesses), but I don't want to spill their methods in the event I'm correct.
If a member have active infractions, Will you deny him/her?
BTW, If the member have expired infractions, Will you deny him/her?
Well it depends. If you have several active infractions, the chance of you being accepted is not as high if you don't have any. But, the application truly determines your fate.
(All the answers of your questions are in previous pages.)
If I recall...we've had moderators that were previously banned. If someone can be banned...let back onto the forum, and then become a moderator...I think as long as you've shown that you have changed, I think anyone can become a moderator.
Like Kiori said, I'm sure that if you show that you have changed, you definitely have a chance.
i had an infraction on my account when i was accepted into moderatorness so it doesn't always matter, but then mine was a small thing, something big may have more impact on our choices, but it may not.
as said many times, best to put in your application, then forget about it and if you get a pm saying your selected it will be a nice surprise for you

Whenever it's done. There's no definite answer for that.
When it's ready.

We all spend a lot of time chatting together in IRC. They could have simply found a post that they shared with other staff members.
It's hard to follow your dreams when you run from your nightmares. --
Well that makes me feel a little cool, if that's the case. A post so good Mods shared it
Anyway, back to lurking to avoid getting off topic.
As Beltir said, not necessarily.

This has been answered, no, maybe its possible, but no

I'm sure it depends from case to case.

Again these questions have been asked and answered before. Put a little effort in to actually look before asking a question,

It's just so hard to not keep checking, lol.
