Remember guys, no chatting, only questions. On that note, here's my question. Let's say I signed up to be a mod for the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition forums. Can I just stay and monitor that section, or will my job as a mod be taken away?
Chatting? We are on topic? Talking about the mod appeal is relevant to this thread.
Thanks. Here's my second question, what if you accidently deleted a thread? Would you get your job as a mod taken?
We can bring deleted threads and posts back from the dead easily. It wouldn't be an issue unless you started removing them intentionally, everyone makes a mistake every once in a while.
* Hide Post remove a post from public view
* Edit Post edit the content of a post
* Issue Infraction add an infraction to a users account for rule violations
Moderators cannot delete posts and topics, they only hide them from the view of normal members. It is very easy to make a topic/post visible again.
I have noticed in a number of Sectional Moderator's signatures they have links to various threads regarding forum rules. Is this required as well or is it just something they fancy?

Training is super simple! If you get the same "packet" I got, it's fun too.
1) READING
Be prepared to read, clean off them glasses, wipe down them monitors. And get out your refreshments. We're talking at least 20 minutes of solid information gathering.
Nothing droll, of course. Actually it was all a pleasure to ingest.
2) Making perfect
What makes perfect? Practice, and that is the second part of training. You are given some practice moderation tasks, which again are neither droll nor hard. Once you do these tasks, we make sure you have your wits about you and re-release you into the wild!
That's about it for the training, at least in the section I am in. I am sure the different admins have different hiring practices. But the reading part, oh that's gonna stay the same.
*ugh* what batch are you on now? i've waited 3 weeks and still no reply my id is 2404
I'm confused as to what he means by "ID". Can somebody explain this to me, please? Also, can somebody explain the "Statistics" and "Post Activity Per Hour" menus in my application? I figured it had to to with my posts on the forums and such, but it says 1 for most of the hour slots, when I know I've had either multiple or no posts on some of these time slots, which is leaving me a bit confused. The only things showing up under "Statistics" is the PM in and PM out sections. Everything else under that is blank. Thanks.

The numbers are just yes (1) or no (0). Nothing more advanced than that.

Citricsquid said it. Please just stop arguing and posting for no reason.
No, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. And we could just bring back the post if it was wrongly deleted.

Everyone makes mistakes. Don't worry, you'll be forgiven.
It's not easy to accidentally delete a thread.
P.S Thanks everyone.

They are down to <10
Nothing fancy really.
You just get to try some reports, and learn how to use the moderating tools, etc.
You also get some handy links to help you out.
It's not required at all
2001-the rest
Please don't reply " NO IT'S 2001-2606!!!!!11ONE1!!" or "OMG LIAR ITS 2001-3000"
Hey I just did this stuff, I can help!
