I think you're a bnit off on the last one. The suggestion doesn't need to have a unique USE it just needs to be fairly original. So more zombie type creatures are fine like say... Rouge Knights, Marauding Barbarians and so on. But not something that are inherently similar like five threads discussing pretty much the same described mob.

This should probably be stated in the rules. I've seen many threads that would benefit the game being torn to pieces because it's similar to something - yet original.

Suggestions forums are always asking for detail, if it's not detailed then mods will archive it, people will hate and give the excuse ''There's a small suggestions thread''. In all honesty, no one reads or responds to the small suggestions thread, I've been there before and it doesn't work. The ideas I post never get noticed.
Is detail really necessary? Shouldn't be up to the developers to decide what's best for the game?
The reasoning for detail in your Suggestion thread is detailed in the rule itself: "for proper discussion to happen suggestions must be well explained and if necessary, well demonstrated." (http://rules.mcf.li/#minecraft-discussion:suggestions) If you feel your thread had enough detail and was still locked for not providing enough information then please PM the moderator who locked it. If you don't like their answer then you can add me to the PM.
Every single suggestion must have a unique use. If someone posted a topic about adding a new melee mob similar to zombies, the common argument is that ''we have zombies for this''. I can recall many games where there are several sprites that serve almost the same purpose, they seem fine and less repetitive.
What's wrong with adding something for the sole purpose of eliminating repetitive aesthetics? Why does everything need a unique use?
This should probably be stated in the rules. I've seen many threads that would benefit the game being torn to pieces because it's similar to something - yet original.
No Duplicate Suggestions
Do not post duplicate suggestions, if an idea has been shared before continue the discussion in the pre-exisiting thread. No Vague Suggestions
Suggestions that are vague or unclear will be removed, for proper discussion to happen suggestions must be well explained and if necessary, well demonstrated. Existing Mod(s)
If a mod exists that provides part (or all) of the suggestions request linking to the mod is encouraged, however do not use the existence of a mod to dismiss the suggestion. Suggestions are primarily for vanilla Minecraft features. No Wishlists
Do not post more than one suggestion per thread. Very closely related suggestions are fine, but separate suggestions require separate threads. "Wishlists" will be closed or deleted.
Says nothing about it being mandatory to be unique. Just that it must not be a duplicate, i.e. clone suggestion.
Should I report people who flame suggestions because they're not ''unique'' enough (and this is not justified)?
By all means.
Be Nice And Polite

Flame or Provoke
Do not insult or flame other members of the forum. Similarly, do not post with the intention of provoking a reaction from fellow members. This includes encouraging flame wars. Instigation is not tolerated.

That's not a rule...
Well, they're wrong. >_>
