As pointless, annoying or nonsensical this may sound, I still think it's
a good idea. This project will attempt to break the monotony that persists
throughout the forums.
O.F. stands for off topic. If anybody has noticed, I have had a few posts that had o.f. in the tags that got to around 500- 1000 views. You guys don't know what i'm talking about, let me explain.
Tons of times a day there are posts on this forum that are the same exact thing. Whether it be "look at my awesome build" or "help me do this" or "awesome ideas" or "update release?" and so on. Well the posts I have had with all of those views remained completly away from all of the monotony. Thats what the O.F. project is. Coming up with an amazing topic that alot of people will love and that stays away from all of the same posts.
I would like this to become the new planking of the minecraft forum if that's possible. When I log on in a couple days, just to see all of these new threads, would be an amazing change of pace.
There are no big requirements to benefit to the project. All you must do is have "O.F." as one of your tags and come up with a great topic.
And one more thing, if you think this idea sucks and all you are going to do is troll, let me see your idea. However constructive criticism is much different, if anybody has different ideas or tips, that would be cool, just post it.

I could be speaking way off base here, but lemme know.
I've been part of 4, maybe more, Video-game forums. Halo 2, Halo: Reach, Dungeon Defenders, and Minecraft.
ALL of these forums are EXACTLY the same. And I mean EXACTLY. All the characters in this forum, you will find in others. People posting the same thing over and over, people complaining about what we feel to be minute, people complaining about complainers, people trying to help, people asking for help, people asking about updates.
This one is no different, as I've seen people try to make a change like what your trying.
It never works is my point. For the 100 people who read this thread, there are 1,500 who haven't. Out of those 100 people, only 10 will try your formula. It will only work once or twice for any of those 10, then they'll soon forget after a week.
The only time I've seen real community collaboration are from computer forums.
If you make this idea work, i'll be throughly impressed is what I was attempting to dictate.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.
Any good, original thread on OT has probably already been posted, simply telling others to add a tag will not allow them to think of an original topic.
