Anyone else have a perfectly legitimate forum post that gets deleted for no apparent reason? Yesterday I asked in the mod development forum how to implement a text function and got an answer that seemed like it would work. So I went back to try it today and it turns out that its been deleted.. Do mods just delete stuff to be deleting stuff... or? :dry.gif: and before it pops up, no it was not a repeat post.
They remove threads that do not abide by the forum rules and the specific rules of that category. If you feel your post has been unfairly removed, you can private message the section-moderator for an appeal.
The thing is that I cant remember what I called this thread. and shouldn't there at least be a reason behind it?
They remove threads that do not abide by the forum rules and the specific rules of that category. If they believe it has broken the rules, they'll remove it. They're generally very strict on how it works. If you can't remember, it cannot be truly that important in my opinion. Either you'll have to remember where you posted it and appeal, or write it again.
I'm just saying that this isnt the first time a topic has been removed that follows all rules. just this specific case is the strongest. I was in the mod development section asking about debugging. how much more correctly placed could that be?
Hasn't happened to me; however I have been given warning points unfairly before. I posted a link on one of my threads, whilst I had another tab open in reply to another thread. Forum glitch and it posted in the wrong place somehow. Counted as spam and hey, 30 days to kill.
Edit: Yeah, I can access that thread. Now we have two admins watching this topic, can I has a PM about my warning point? :tongue.gif:
Yeah, I don't believe the rules are clear on when a moderator will lock a thread. That needs justifying. Also, refer to edit2 of my previous post:
"Edit2: I once had an error where my content page was completely empty for a few days and nothing was related to me. It was fixed after a while (another forum glitch) - perhaps this is what happened?"
Edit: 502 Error! That makes 3 forum glitches :sleep.gif: haha.
agreed. Maybe we just need more stability around here. Even the search bar is inconsistent as I searched for my debugging topic before I made this.
*edit* got a 502 error and a glitch both in this post alone -.-
