On the whole I'd say it was positive, I must admit I haven't always got along with the moderators here but they're not bad people from what I can tell and most of our disagreements here have been misunderstandings on my part. It's difficult to determine all of our moral characters just by talking to people over the internet. Even good people with good intentions can make a mistake sometimes. You may not fully agree with some of the rules here or how they are enforced but rules exist for a good reason.
People here generally give good advise too, like if you ask how crafting recipes work you will get a reply that is right on point.
if you make suggestions how to improve the game sometimes people will make suggestions on how to improve on your own one,
My only issues are sometimes people saying something that you already did (which is easily fixed, so idc at all), and then the big issue is the forum is pretty dead, as sometimes it takes hours and even days to get a response, and you have to pray to God that when you reply, he or she is still online and continues with the discussion.
I do really like this forum; it has a good layout, it has friendly users, and there is room for all levels of Minecraft users, as well as decent level of activity.
If I should mention anything negative, it would be the large number of spammers that seems to slip through the filter.
I do not agree with firwulf that it is an issue that some replies takes hours or days or that it makes the forum dead, this is a question about some people lack the patience, and some questions are better asked in a real time chat forum. Try a game of long-distance chess by mail, or write a handwritten letter to a penpal and send it by snail-mail...
This forum is a lot more dead than it used to be, I like the more chilled out vibe honestly, but at one point you could almost count on having a discussion close to real time.
I'm sure it's a lot easier on the servers now at least, there's only 100ish users online right now (that's the highest I've seen in a while too) compared to the peak of nearly 35,000 in 2014.
On topic, I much prefer this forum to reddit, probably the biggest minecraft community right now. I've always liked the way threads are set up here better, I find on reddit it's less about discussion and more about content, if that makes sense. Maybe that's just a consequence of having less traffic though.
what is your opinion on mc forum at the moment, the condition, the experience, the positives, and the negatives, and your advice for the future
