I'm noticing a trend on this forum that most people are very
rigid in the way they play the game and make posts online. I don't see
why it's bad to be making features so the game is at least possible
for players in islands on hardcore, farland-style custom worlds, and
peaceful mode. Right now, and especially with 1.13 adding water and sky
zombies, any of those cases mean death or being forced to stop
Don't get me wrong, I like the new additions to the game. I don't
know what I'd do without a shield or being unable to fish mending rods.
However, removing features, like priests selling eyes of ender; and
adding things, like the drowned and phantoms; that penalize players
already in difficult worlds or customizations; discourages a lot of the

The attitude this site gives me is very meritocratic, and as with my
general stance on things in real life, people (and worlds) that have
lost the lottery on good situations shouldn't be given extra handicaps
in addition to having to start behind while facing the same expectations
as everyone else. The game should adjust for unfavourable worlds and
gamemodes, and the community should adjust its attitude with it.
Agree with your perspective. The long term users are entrenched with enabling faulty products to be marketed. In the hobby-focused early days of Minecraft, that may have been OK. In the greedy profiteering and lack of cross-communication and adequate support among Minecraft, Xbox, and Mojang, that is no longer OK.
