Especially when certain ads are up, just being on the forum triggers security alerts and makes my computer tower heat up faster than normal. When I'm typing a post, it will sometimes either just freeze up, or do this weird bug where I can see my cursor move while typing but none of the letters I add or remove show up as being changed after the cursor moves over them. In both cases the only fix is to refresh the page, which deletes everything I had typed. Majorly annoying.

I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
I turned off and ublock. Everything slowed dramatically. I figured it was CHrome Canary breaking again, but trying it in various other browsers has proven fruitless. Ads are ridiculously slow on this site.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing, which browser are you using when this behaviour happens?
Internet Explorer, and I'm fairly certain my computer is Windows 8, though I could be wrong. (I know it's NOT Win10 though.) I don't have any adblock enabled because I occasionally have to go through adfly or similar to download mods or new forge versions. I do have security though.

This forum is extremely laggy on Chrome and Firefox even with adblocker on, but it's one of the worst sites without adblocker. If you think it's not bad, you don't know what you're missing out on by browsing normal sites with Chrome or Firefox and an adblocker. I've tested this on three different computers already, it's the same everywhere, and I know exactly what the issue is: it's trying to load too many things. The ad content is VERY poorly optimized. It could literally load animated bitmap images faster.

I want ocean content(thanks Möjang!), nether biomes(again thanks!!), and savanna passive mobs (meerkats incoming!?).
I checked the site on a friend's ISP, which is different from mine. It's primarily my ISP (Uverse), which has trouble loading the site for some reason.

I re-enabled ads for a moment, and it tried to run flash player for some reason, there is no reason to do that.
Also, advertisements with pictures like this make the site seem creepy

Really? I use the same things and I don't experience lag often.
Maybe it's the ISP? Or maybe traffic caused by others using the network? Is it only on this website? Is anything else open usually?
You can just call me Canary.
How not to look like a total fool in the forum games

So from my end, it's not a serverside issue.
uhh, rep for technical problems? ok.
