I don't really have a plot yet, but it would involve pirate myths such as krakens and sea monsters. There would also be large scale ship battles and likely rival teams, but that's undecided. It may change entirely, but pirate ships and battles will always be the main part of that roleplay.
Alright. So I was thinking that there could be two rival teams on different continents or islands. They're currently at war. Both of them utilize monsters for help? It's a start, alright?
Oooh and they could be looking for an ancient stone, brought by the sea gods before them. That could be what started the wars. With an ancient temple rumored to be at the center of the ocean. Though, the closer they get, the more hostile the wildlife and enemies become?
If we only develop a minimal bit of mythology for now, we can adapt it to our needs and wishes later by adding more details. Therefore, I believe that you should only have some basic details about the history and mythology of the world planned out for now; more important than that is the plot, which you seem to have worked out rather well.
Another important thing would be a difference between the two civilizations of pirates, as well as details about how these pirates live, and what materials/tools/boats they might use.
The two civilizations could be rather similar, in ships and other vehicles. The ships are made out of wood, with some higher end ones plated with steel. Their territories are marked by separate islands. Each civilization is controlled by a king.
Legends say that in the beginning, when the land was created, there were two necessary deities. Maw, and Kro. Maw was the controller of evil. Predators, black magic, and the worst of humanity. Kro is the ruler of good and life, the best of humanity.
Apparently, a war broke out. They each created two dimensions. Aed, Maw's dimension, and Lokd, Kro's dimension. Within that battle a gem was created, known as only The Stone. 25 years after the legendary battle the two civilizations of the land are at war, to capture the stone and retain whatever power it has.
Perhaps it would be better if the gap between the supposed legends and the present day were more than 25 years? At least a few centuries is what I would suggest.
Maybe we could have it where both civilizations have been fighting since the war of the two Gods for The Stone? Not just after a certain period of time?
I'll obviously flesh out the plot later if it's chosen, and a name, but would anybody be up for an old fashioned apocalypse?
No plot yet, but it'd be based off of the recent blizzard game, Overwatch.
Be a giant monster, Destroy stuff. Interested?
??????????????????????????????????????????????????
Tell me more about this Pirate thing, if you please.

Hm. That's one that I could take a look at.
Alright, I'll let the pole run for a few more days maybe and then create the RP that's most wanted!
I also really like the pirate idea. I hope that one wins.

For my opinion, pirate RP are quite interesting as long we're in a same team unless the RP'ers wanted to have a conflict between them.
Alright, Pirate wins! Would you guys mind helping me with the lore a bit? It's hard to come up with a story that everyone likes.
Do you have any ideas you've been working on? Maybe those of us who are interested can all work off what you have and that way everyone's happy! ^.^

I would LOVE to help with a pirate thingy!

Can I write the Sea Gods?
Sure! it could be a collab between all of us! I'd create the forum page, though.

Now I want to watch One Piece. Again. I'll probably join in the Pirate RP.
Inactive account. See Bio.
After we're finished with ideas, I'll compile them all together and create the forum page. Hopefully tomorrow.
