So I’ve not played Minecraft for a few years and then it was the Xbox one addition so might be missing something here, so apologies if someone has already asked.
Started playing again along with my son, and to cut a long story short, I died, losing my map. So I thought it would be as simple as before to replace. However, when I try, it comes out zoomed in. What I’m after is basically a replica of the original map.
Basically all maps on bedrock have 4 levels of zoom. The default is 0/4 which is pretty zoomed in. To zoom it out, get a crafting table, put the map in the centre and surround it with paper, that will zoom it out by 1 level (1/4) continue with this method till you get the desired zoom level you want.
Once you have the desired zoom, put the map in the centre and next to it add another blank map, this will copy it, allowing you to keep one as a spare.
Hi everyone.

Hope this makes sense and thanks for reading.

That’s great! Thanks for the help.
