I'm on Xbox one(not the console edition but the better together edition or whatever it is called) and I am having serious problems with mob spawners that worked on console edition now not working. I'm having an even harder time looking for reliable videos/guides on new xp farms. If anyone could post a link to a video/guide of a xp farm on Xbox one that would be great. If you're on Xbox one and have one in your server I could look at, message me on Xbox JakeTheEasybake is my gamer tag. Any and all help appreciated. Also they don't need to be one hit as we have swords that can be trashed without worry of using materials.
Are you talking about mob spawners that are based on natural mob generation or the cage-shaped mob spawners that work if you are 16 blocks away?
If you are building the one based on natural mob generation: Make sure you light up all the caves and areas within a 128-block radius. Which is definitely gonna be a tough process, but your grinder will work effective...
For the « cage » spawners: I assume you are building a zombie/skeleton farm. If you’re using the « water elevator » design, make sure all the water is source blocks, and use soul sand to push them upwards. You could make the drop 23 blocks long so that you could 1-2 hit kill them with your fists.
As for spiders, I really can’t help you with that, as I’ve never really built a spider farm...But I think all what I listed above should work on Bedrock Edition.

Just figured out that when I'd turn 8 years old, the 23th of November 2011, my parents could have offered me Minecraft as a birthday gift. Sigh...
Fun but frustrating platformer. Saves me of boredom when I don't feel like playing Minecraft. Knowledge of 8-bit old-school videogames is optional tho'.
With the soul sand do you do the source block/sign elevator type deal still or another way? Was mainly talking about actual spawner but thinking of making a grinder. Just didn't want to make a grinder if it didn't work cause I built one for like 10 hours on console version and it didn't work.

The sign elevator thing doesn't work anymore (undead mobs sink in water, they won't swim up like they used to).
Soul sand with water above it creates a bubble column that can be used to move mobs. They're fun, you should try it.
As for mob spawning, natural mob spawning is calculated differently in this version. You might want to look up more about how that works, people have posted that some of the common designs of spawners don't work that well in better together.
The cage with a mob inside spawners work fine in this version and there isn't the cap on mobs like there was in the old console version. You can let them build up to the point that there is tons of lag like the Java version.
I tried to bubble column and it's just so slow compared to letting them spawn in and just lag. Like I was saying I really wanna build a grinder just hard to find concrete videos of it actually working and I don't wanna build in creative for it to work then have to spend hours again to build in survival.
