Hi everyone, I'm the owner of a Realm and I need to prune my world.
Realms only allows worlds up to 2 GB to be uploaded and since there is no way to upload datapacks, I have to download the world, update the datapack and then reupload it.
My community has been exploring a lot and my world has therefore grown beyond 2GB. I would like to delete all the chunks that have been neglected for a long time, so that I can update my datapack again.
Is there a tool for me to prune my 1.13.2 world?
I've tried out mcedit, but the tool appears to only be available for 1.12.2 and lower.
I've seen nbtexplorer on the internet, but it appears to me that it doesn't have a pruning tool that deletes all the chunks that are neglected.
I've never attempted anything like this - but googling I found this page
Have you tried this ??
I did check out that page, but it's not what I'm looking for. That article explains how to prune a world from a previous version before updating a world to 1.13, whereas my world is already in 1.13.2.

Is this a realistic custom map you made with world painter or similar, read below , if not then all you need is to upload the 1.13.2 seed to get a identical blank map . No need to upload anything, the map will generate as players move around.
The chunk tools of World edit are not updated to 1.13 fully and MCEdit has not been updated to 1.13
I prepared the world in 1.12.2 using MCEdit's Prune function , then updated the map in Minecraft 1.13.2 using the built in converter with optimize map . If you Jumped into 1.13.x with a new map , you will have to wait for the tools to catch up.
There is a way to do what you want but its time consuming
put your map up on a local spigot server with all necessary plugins
Essentials ( for setting things like /speed 9 )
Dynmap ( so you can see where your going )
World Edit
Worldguard (set width and length of map so that player can not pass those boundries )
You will have to set up a Minecraft 1.13.2 client profile with World Downloader Core mod installed
Log into your Spigot Server at IP:localhost
type /seed to get the maps seed and enter the seed into WDL
Then Fly around at /speed 9
The boundaries set by worldguard , will be the size you want the copied map to be
This makes a 1 to 1 copy of there areas you fly over and will be saved to Minecraft saves folder
As you can see , it is 100 percent possible but you need to read how to set up a basic spigot server and how to mod the client
Using this, I was able to load a 1.13.2 map BUT block and structures did not generate. I could only see the position of players (and the spawn point - I think). However, I could see the entire explored area. I could tell what chunks had been loaded and not loaded. Using the position of players, I was able to determine the location of certain builds and was able to prune certain chunks.
I suppose you could count chunks in a direction from spawn and do more precise pruning.
I'm testing things to save my current world and prune certain biomes when 1.14 comes. If you try this or have found another way since your post, I'd love to hear about it.
