I watched your video, and I saw some things that could use improvement. Please not e that this advice is not out of hatred.
Spend less time sorting your inventory- Sorting your inventory leaves you vulnerable to other players as you are unaware that they are sneaking up on you. Also, sorting your inventory costs you precious time and lets other players get an edge over you. I am not saying that you should have a completely disorganized inventory. Just make sure that you have what you need in your hotbar and move on.
Vigilance- Always pay attention to your surroundings. Take note of where people are and whether or not they are headed in your direction. Being able to see your opponent can give you clues on what their strategy is and allows you to plan accordingly. If you feel like fortifying your island or sorting your inventory, make sure that you are in a relatively safe place.
Offense- Going on the offensive in Skywars is allows you to get the best gear and to eliminate other contestants. However, it also makes it easier for you to die as you are exposed to more combat and dangerous situations. If you plan to leave your island to get the best gear in the center or to kill your neighbors, make sure to get a head start on the competition. The first person to get to the center has all of the loot available to them, and if you reach another player's island at the beginning of the game, you may be able to surprise them while they are sorting their inventory or are preoccupied with shooting another player off of a bridge. Another thing to note is that playing defensively is not a winning strategy unless you are willing to fight dirty. If you wait on your island with your starting gear the entire game, you may survive a while, but at the end of the game, your opponent will have all of the gear from the people they have slain and the chests that they have looted, and you will probably not have very much. Without using "dirty" tactics such as knocking them into the void or setting them on fire, you will not be likely to win.
Building Bridges- The most common way to get around in Skywars is to build bridges. This may seem like a simple thing to do, but if built incorrectly, a bridge can easily cause a player's death. Make sure to stay vigilant of players that might try and knock you off as you build your bridge. The easiest way to prevent getting knocked off of your bridge is to have a guard rail of blocks that will prevent you from falling off even if you get hit by a projectile. However, this does slow you down and consumes more resources, so you should decide when it is worthwhile. If you make a nerdpole and then bridge off from that, it will be harder for people to hit you since you will be higher off of the ground. It might also let you sneak up on people from above in some situations.
Fortify Your Island- If you do not want to play offensively, and you find yourself sitting on your island with nothing to do, fortify your island. Build a wall around your island, so you can't be knocked off, or build a platform in the sky that will be hard for other players to access. Make sure to stay vigilant while doing this, so you don't get knocked off of your island like you did in your video. If you have a bucket of water, put it on the edge of your island. That way, if you are knocked off, you have a chance of saving yourself in the water stream and climbing back up to your island.
Protect Yourself Against Dirty Fighting- People are going to fight dirty. It is a fact of life. However, there are ways that you can counter them. If you have a bucket of water, you can use it to douse yourself when you are set on fire. Fortifying the edges of your island and your bridges helps to prevent you from being knocked off. When fighting, always make sure that your back is toward the center of the island, rather than the edge. That way, it will be harder for your enemy to knock you off and easier for you to knock them off. If you find yourself nearing the edge of an island, try strafing and turning to shift the battle so that they are facing the edge, and you are not. If possible, have an enderpearl easily accessible in your hotbar. If you are knocked off of an island, you can use it to warp back onto it. You can also use your enderpearl to escape if you fear that you will lose a fight, but make sure you will survive the pearl damage! Also, if you are confident in your throwing ability, you can jump off of the island yourself to trick them and then warp behind them with your enderpearl. I have never done this myself, but it may win you a battle if you pull it off successfully as players like to perch themselves on the edge of the island to watch their opponents fall into the abyss, making them perfect targets for a kick in the backside.
I don't pretend to be a PVP master, but this is what I could think of to help you out. I hope it helps!
