WARNING: This true story (in quotes so you can easily distinguish it) is somewhat evil and if your going to read it and post something hateful to me please leave. (Though I doubt anyone would, after reading this you may see reason in what I do, even if it was a bit extreme) [And that sounds bad, I'll have you know now that I don't do anything mean in person, everything that happens is in the game]. Please note that the following WERE hurt in the making of this tale: (Not all are mentioned in the story, so don't worry you won't hear about me slaughtering pigs and sheep with my dog. Nor will you hear of me and my brother slaying innocent zombies and spiders. You will hear of the demise of creepers and diamonds however.)
So, my brother and I have recently been playing Minecraft on our 360. We wanted to build a city which is what we had been working on. He has a friend who loves to play with him.
Anyway, after his friend had played with him (I don't have Live as I am against paying Microsoft anymore money, but that's a whole other story), I saw the friend's house. It was a hole in the ground and he had a mushroom farm. He also had literally all the diamonds and iron from the caves near us (save the 6 or so I lost because lava and I do not get along). Just messing around I covered the entrance with dirt. He easily found it and got back in. Of course, this started a very very, short war.
After realizing it had to have been me who did it, he filled my house (the basement [which was actually a dungeon] of the first skyscraper we built), completely filled, with cobblestone and soul sand. He also took my torches and the staircase down to my room. Actually he also filled the first floor too. After this he continued playing with my brother, where he nearly burnt the apartment building my brother built to the ground by lighting a fire in a fireplace (Almost completely destroyed the second floor and caused a little damage to every other floor). He then caught the floor of a brick building we built on fire. This was fine because we were taking it down, but he risked burning the trees around the area.
After this they somehow got the idea to go creeper hunting on Hard. My brother kept all the gunpowder (thankfully). Later, I think the next day, I got on and played with my brother again. I saw my house and he told me about the fires. It took me quite a bit to dig through the cobblestone and soul sand, and then rebuild the stairs and torches.
I decided to take my revenge a bit further than he did. At first, it was a simple but very annoying idea. Trap him with obsidian. My brother knew he had no pickaxe, and even with diamond it would take quite a bit of time to escape. As my brother and I explored deeper than we ever had in this world, I collected obsidian. It was at the time I had around 60 blocks of it that I saw a vein of diamonds. I began to dig and dig. I already collected 6 when lava suddenly flowed towards me, hindering my ability to escape. I died. And I lost everything nice I had again. Bye diamond pickaxe, bye large stack of obsidian, and bye all you beautiful rare diamonds. In such a small world things like those can't be wasted, and then I decided this was all the fault of my brother's friend.
It was time for my brother and I to go creeper hunting. I actually got to keep my gunpowder. After a short discussion, in which we both decided he was a nuisance to the world, I decided I would booby trap the friend's house. I had already begun work on a lighthouse out in a far, snowy corner of the world. It was a place I knew if I needed to, I could safely hide everything I had. While we were hunting I began planting trees to camouflage the small, unfinished light house. The snow covered the roof (which was actually meant to be a second floor), quickly disguising it on any map.
As soon as we had finished hunting, I crafted all the TNT I could, which happened to be three, this number reached four when my brother kindly donated another to me. I went home to my dungeon basement, quickly devising a slightly evil scheme to destroy everything he had. At first there were three traps, but the "Pit of Death" bit failed to work correctly and was soon removed. This left the dispenser with arrows and of course, the final ultimate trap. We saved and tested everything again, just to be safe. Knowing the friend's gamma setting and the fact that there were no torches down there made us certain he would unknowingly walk into the ill-fated cave he once called home.
The next day, my brother received this text, "Can we play minecraft?" We both looked at each other and I realized I still hadn't finished moving my stuff. We scrambled to take everything to the safety of the isolated tundra. We were finished within a few minutes, and then began the final stage of my revenge...
Spawning just to the east of my new hideout, they were in the outpost on the frontlines of the "Creeper War." Truthfully, two people fighting tons of creepers isn't much of a war, but the deep craters would tell you otherwise. My brother told his friend he needed to work on something in the city. After finding their boats they traveled back to the mainland, going separate ways. My brother went up to his apartment, and his friend to the cave that was his home. Upon seeing my signs I think he realized something was very wrong.
"Hey, sorry I filled in your house. It won't happen again. "
"Here's your new house. Enjoy..."
After using a few choice words, my brother came to his "aid." The friend needed a torch, and being who he is, simply plucked one off the street lights. Luckily I had anticipated this. I had placed two blocks with the sign, "Break me," on them. As the friend began to smash the cobblestone with his hand, he decided he needed a pickaxe. As he struggled to find one my brother broke the blocks for him. "Hey I got rid of them you can go in now," he said. As soon as the friend was back he walked into the first trap. He was shot two or three times before leaving the tunnel I designed. My brother quickly disabled the trap, hoping to lead him into the final section. Now, this last trap was designed to make sure there was absolutely nothing left. It was also designed so he could see all his belongs burn, but do nothing about it. I left the back portion of his home open, save for the wooden planks I had placed to catch fire. As he walked forward he stepped on a pressure plate, activating a piston. This piston moved a cobblestone block. Hearing the noise he quickly stepped back, which was the opposite of what I had hoped for. Nonetheless, my plan went into play. Lava poured from the new hole in his wall, quickly filling the area below his belongings, and my well placed wood. At this moment, he could see what I had planned. One single TNT block was visible, just to taunt him. He placed a block of dirt to stop the lava, but it was too late. The lava already sat in the pit. He left not noticing the trouble that had began to stir within the cave. As the hot, molten rock began to decay, the wood caught fire, and the TNT came quickly after. Four quick explosions and it was done.
Was anything left, you may be asking yourself. Well, I'll tell you this. He managed to scavenge his bed and crafting bench. But nothing else. Everything else he had taken was gone. In its place was a dark pit and many small, spinning blocks of cobblestone. He went to my house, and saw there was nothing there. My plan had worked perfectly, even if it hadn't went exactly the way I hoped.
Honestly I do feel a little bad because I know his friend was more than a little angry. But after nearly destroying our town, looting everything from our caves, and going overboard on his revenge (even though I was laughing as I cleaned my house) he probably did deserve something like this. Go ahead and post any stories of revenge or things like this that you have, I'd like to read them.
