Well something that frequently popped up in the [Put things you want to keep in single player or a private server or they get griefed] arguement was: what if I want anyone to be able to come and see or take a tour of my work? I think there is a solution.
Well using hacks, I have saved a map from someone elses server and then loaded it onto flatgrass, Now I can see this server while I am still in flatgrass and have the same powers I have there, this destroys griefing as the griefers cannot see the map, only the person who loaded it can. So now I can look around, and if my friends save the map and do what I did we can take a tour together!
I believe this is a potential solve for griefing.
[I named this Channel Hopping, 1. It sounds cool and 2. It fits what it does]
so what you are suggesting is that everyone downloads maps in single player?
and servers run a map that cannot be changed by anyone which must be downloaded?
A quote from SteGriff in another thread about showcasing his work, is this not similar to what you are suggesting?
An actual perfect solution for griefing is to temporarily all user sessions and what blocks they destroyed, then if they are banned, the log is used to undo all the grief. Its a fairly simple solution :tongue.gif:
While [Channel hopping] is in progress the only people who can destroy the blocks which the channel hopper can see are other people who are channel hopping. Therefore the griefers wouldn't be able to see the blocks, so they couldn't see them.

Quality of output = Skill * Effort
That is not at all what I am suggesting.
I am not sure what that is?
Or even ignore block create/destroy alltogether.
