So I really want to do a Let's Play series. Only problem is, Camtasia is giving me issues. When I am actually recording, I get a tiny bit of lag in-game, but its not that noticeable. However, when I go to watch the recording I made with Camtasia, the video lags like crazy. The screen will freeze for a few seconds, and then skip forward to where it should be, skipping all the footage in between. Also, the sound quality of my voice in the recording is absolutely horrible. So, I am convinced this is an issue with Camtasia rather than minecraft. Any ideas on how I can make the video play smoother?
I know that this post is old, but I have found a way I think to reduce the lag. Go to your Camtasia Studio Recorder, then click on tools. After this go to options. Then go to inputs and in the video section click on "Video Settings" and change your compressor to Lagarith Lossless Codec. Make sure your Screen Capture frame rate is atleast at 15. Also in this section you can edit audio and webcam hope it helped!
What kind of codec are you using to record it (i think its under tools/options/vide/compression in camtasia)?
