Well, my current laptop can barely even run Minecraft, so I am planning on buying a new desktop built for gaming, and I'd prefer for it to be under 1200 USD. I don't anything about what graphics card it needs, what processer it needs, ect. If anyone could recommend a good gaming desktop to me, I would be grateful.
Thanks.

If you're reading this, don't look behind you... Just let me slide my knife into your skull, and it'll all be over... (Yes, I am disturbed! >:D)
I really would prefer if I didin't have to build it.
For a budget like that, you won't get (much of) a gaming machine. Any power supply you would find in a "gaming" prebuilt will be ****, risking to take the components with it. Not to mention the fact that many prebuilts skimp on the GPU while getting an overkill processor.

Well, what is the cheapest prebuilt gaming desktop?

Not sure, but really, a "prebuilt gaming desktop" will not meet your needs anywhere near as well as if you were going to build it yourself.
For a budget like yours, you could get a build like mine (although with slightly newer parts) that comes damn close to maxing BF3 out. It's definitely worth it to build.
But I agree with everyone else, building it yourself will be way cheaper. But sometimes people don't want to learn how to build a PC, and that's okay. There's a lot of things we can do ourselves that some people don't want to do, like fixing their cars or fixing a toilet or stuff like that.

I wasn't able to find the graphics card. For all we know it could be a 2GB GT 530.

It has a GTX 560, which can run BF3 in Ultra.

That one looks pretty good, I guess. I'm going to look into building PCs for sure though.

And at the person who said their computer gets close to maxing out BF3...I built mine over the summer, and it maxes out BF3 with $1000 (actually is there an AA over 8)....and I get 30-40 FPS
I wouldn't consider 30-40 FPS to be sufficient for online play, however that's pretty good.
I would be maxing it completely if it weren't for the fact I was forced to add a second drive for RAID 1.

Showing it can run BF3 in ultra quality in 1600x1200 with around 46 FPS, which is great fps.

Put a mild overclock on the CPU and GPU, although I have pushed them further...so I problably could pull 40-50, but for me at least, 30-40 is plenty
As you can see, I have a fairly decent overclock on my GPU and CPU. BF3 does not quite run flawlessly on ultra (4x MSAA being the real killer, so I just use 2x and SSAO). This is at 1680x1050.
In my opinion, ~40 FPS average just isn't enough for online play; FPS will frequently dip into lower ranges when you need smooth gameplay the most.
Thanks.

Building it is super easy.
You could run those games for probably less than $800 on one you build.
2 or 3 months.A long-ass time.Oh boy, visual basic. I can barely contain my excitement. Not.

Regular 560?
Can't run it on full ultra. High is the best it will do for multiplayer.
As prebuilts go, it's a pretty good setup, but you could definitely do better building it yourself.
