So I’m making Undertale in minecraft. I have my execute commands set to turn blue wool blocks into red ones, like in the x and o puzzle in snowdin. I then set another command to change red ones to lime ones (I’d reccomend looking up “Undertale X and O puzzle” on YouTube to see what I’m talking about.) the problem is that the blue blocks turn directly into green blocks because they turn red so quickly. I want it so that you have to step off the red one first in order for it to turn green. Anyone got any tips?
(paste this command and execute it when ur on top of the X block)
2. Repeating command blocks you need (I'd recommend you to turn it off when they're not in the puzzle. It can be removing the redstone block activating the repeating command block or set it, to auto:0)

set command in reversed way, first turn red into lime, then turn blue into red
How would that look? Like, I have it to where each command is in a different command block. Can you type out how this command would work?
I assume you already have a command in your map, so I'll suggest what you can add.
If you want to prevent the wool to turn "blue to red" and "red to green" instantly, tag the player.
I assume your command is (in 1.12):
/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ wool 11 setblock ~ ~-1 ~ wool 14
and
/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ wool 14 setblock ~ ~-1 ~ wool 13
which is not what u wanted.
I would do this:
(Assume the stone that registers the result is a non-solid block with a stone under it)
1. Before the repeating commands, summon as invisible tagged armor stand at each X you need, so the command should be:
/summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {Invisible:1,Invulnerable:1,Marker:1,NoGravity:1,Tags:["anX"]}
(paste this command and execute it when ur on top of the X block)
2. Repeating command blocks you need (I'd recommend you to turn it off when they're not in the puzzle. It can be removing the redstone block activating the repeating command block or set it, to auto:0)
/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ wool 11 setblock ~ ~-1 ~ wool 14
/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ stone -1 execute @e[tag=anX] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ wool 14 setblock ~ ~-1 ~ wool 13
That should be in for your case.
This command is very simple, so it has a lot of limitations, such as:
1. Can't convert it back to blue
2. Works for the whole world so you need to disable it once the puzzle is done
3. Can't help if u have like 1000 of them and u need to summon them manually (unless using a more complex way)
MOST IMPORTANTLY, I haven't tested it yet so it might not work.
